**NativeStateDigital.com MP3 Store!**

Native State Records is proud to announce www.NativeStateDigital.com, our own MP3 store.

The paradigm is changing and we are embracing it with open hands and open hearts. NativeStateDigital <http://www.nativestatedigital.com>allows us to bring you tons of new music this year, in addition to out CD release schedule.

We are launching this service with four brand new exclusive EP's. All tracks are 320 kbps, with no DRM and full release downloads include print quality artwork scans.

NSDD001: Vibesquad - Return Of The Pudding People EP

Native State is proud to announce the first official release from Vibesquad, aka Aaron Holstein (Zilla). This bass heavy EP twists and turns your subliminal undies into a 5th dimensional fractal knot. Dub, breaks, and downtempo duke it out with a sense of humour, and supreme dancefloor functionality. It's all about the wobble really...

NSDD002: Aerostatic - Code EP

Aerostatic compose and perform a hybrid style of electronic music that is atmospheric, ambient, microbeat and downtempo with breakcore/grindcore sensibilities.
Based in Brooklyn, NY, Aerostatic utilize artifacts of sound generated by digital and analog processing in conjunction with a variety of interactive technologies to compose and design audio environments for music performance, installations and film.

NSDD003: saQi - Kyubi: The Quest For Beauty EP

Portland based artist saQi is a classically trained composer and trumpet player gone electronic. Finding balance of darkness and light through rhythm and melody, his work carries a delicate sensibility and evolving sense of moodiness. He also composes and plays trumpet with The March Fourth Marching Band.

NSDD004: Welder - Bamboo Snow EP

Brendan Angelides, aka "Eskmo" / "Welder" is a San Francisco based produced and performer who has been writing music steadily since 1999. The name of Eskmo is used for his high energy breaks / dubstep / dnb oriented sounds and Welder for his melodic downtempo works. He currently has releases on the record labels Vertical Sound(UK), Cyberfunk(UK), Mechanoise(UK), Downbeat(NYC) and Cyberset(SF).

please...
every single chill DJ i know prefers .wav or .flac, no matter what the "industry" says about 320 k mp3 being enough. Thousands of ears can`t be wrong...

so, you still got the chance to make lossless available as an option
people pay more 4 the wav handling, no problem bro...

hugs

First a big "Nice" for using something like Paypal.

I wish people would realise that 320kbps mp3 is such a waste of space. v0 is way better in my opinion.

And lossless .flac is like 1000x times better than any lossy codec because one can transcode it to the format and bitrate one prefers without losing "additional" quality (like when transcoding lossy to lossy). I can't hear a difference, but I hate to pay for lossy music I cannot change to the format I like (Vorbis that is) properly.           http://enjoys.it

seems that mp3s are for players where space is an issue

and anyone who wants to play thier music on things other than headphones (like big party soundsystems) should do that music justice and play wav or flac or vorbis
mp3s are so 2003

keep pumping out the tunes... great idea! ill support the site for sure... just hook up some wavs for an extra 2 bucks per release.

MP3's work fine for me, for several reasons.
(1) Instant Gratification
(2) Lower cost
(3) My Car Stereo isnt super fancy, and thats about the only time+space I have for listening.
(4) If I really want to experience music in its fullest, ill catch a live set at a festival.
That being said, I am currently downloading "bioluminesence" as I type this. Im all for .mp3 releases of anything and everything... thats the easiest way for me to get my hands on the latest material - and at home or in the car... Im just not a super snob about sound quality being ultra pristine.
....Give technology about 5 years - then with faster internet speeds and devices that can hold more, you can all have your .wav's... Which will of course then be sub-standard to the fact that every thing will be produced and released @ 192... 7-channel audio, etc. etc...

Digital EPs now available on Beatport as .WAV downloads.

We hear and obey.

TONS of new music coming before the end of the year, and a solid line up for 2008!

By the way, could you tell us a release date for the forthcoming Krill.Minima album?
I already heard the magnificent track "nautica" and it's the name of this album, it will be on the tracklist?

It's a good idea to release ep's in digital format, but I'll still buy albums in CD format anyway.

Anyone know if Vibesquad are going to have a CD release ?

I'm not really one for MP3's and I don't want to pay £2.50 for a WAV download. Cheers!

Thanks for working on the .WAVs and high-quality releases and distribution methods to match...

CDs are a 25-year-old technology. Downloading .MP3s is a 10-year-old technology.

.MP3 is okay for cheap, disposable consumer grade music but not enough for audiophiles, DJs and psychedelic chillers who want to own it for life.
