Alright.. after many recommendations for a soundcard for a performin live and additionally for the studio, i got my hands on the Audio Kontrol.
But having used it for a lil over a month now, i'm now getting annoying crackling sounds and noises while using Cubase 4. I've also tried switching over the latency, from high to standard to medium to try and figure whether its some latency issue. But it still comes.. moreso when the cpu load is more as understandably, but also when then there is hardly any huge cpu load.
Now i'm experiencing the same with Ableton too and im finding it quite irritating to say the least.
Anybody using Audio Kontrol can help me a bit here? Many thanks!!
And yea... tght the following config might help you a lil more diagnose the problem..
Computer : Dell Inspiron 1525 Core 2 Duo
(i really hope its not a Dell
fckup!)
OS : XP home
DAW : Cubase 4, Ableton 7
Thanks!

there is a dpc latency checker available online. google for it and install it. This program will show if you have latency spikes which unfortunately most dell systems suffer from. I have a dell studio 1735 and mine too suffers from latency problems. After you check at least you can rule out that possibility and concentrate on other areas.
