I would like to share a recent experience - where i ended up spending saturday morning in the Sderot Police Station and nearly having all my CD collection confinscated! i was DJying in a party in the Ashkelon Area, and the police decided to bust this party completely, so they set up a roadblock in the entry to the party like 500meters before the organizer checkpoint, and took in people for spliffs and boofim and opened records for everyone they found, they also sent home the DJs in the lineup who was suppose to play there.. after they busted they proceeded with like 7 cars or 8 cars and searched everyone in the check point, and then they raced to the dancefloor to bust as many ppl as they could find, around 40 cops - the leading officer decided to arrest me for organizing an illegal Acid party!!! and said that all the sound system and my CDs are confiscated! luckily for the sound ppl - they couldnt fit 2 sets of turbosound with 4 subs into the jeep - so they took the 'plata' with the CDJ's in and i collected all my cases and they took me with the organizers, CDs and Plata and a few ppl they caught with boofim and spliffs into the station! i then waited until they finished interrogating everyone, and it was only me & the organizers, and then they let us go at 8 or 9 am (i left with my CDs!!!)...
From what i heard the police beat up at least 3 people - one got a headbutt for lying about having a spliff, one guy got beat with a stick and picked off the floor from his neck, another guy said the guy he was driving into the party with got punched by an officer! Strange how u hear always about brutality in the entrances to clubs but u don't hear about police brutality towards party ppl.. i heard they opened like 30 records for ppl..
reading also the string about the circle festival and police behaviour over there and opening 90 criminal records for non-dammaging and non-violent behaviour! http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/73893/forum/50

after this weekend i feel a little sad, that so many ppl got criminal records for an alternative lifestyle that is regarded as illegal, what is becoming around us? it seems that we're moving back in time to 10 years ago, when the police didn't know how fight this syndrome..
hope that the winter and moving back into the Tel Aviv clubs will bring a little peace into the scene..
have great year clubbing and partying!
i know i'm not giving up yet

Shamanizer, they never had any sense. They are mostly low lives, miseducated, wife beating assholes that enjoy to have a power.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Pavel, unfortunately i have to admit that you are right again and this is the reality in most countries in the world. When talkin about police those few good apples in the basket don't make much difference when most of them are rotten. Too often they are power addicts who enjoy to oppress everyone who disagrees with their values. Someone should point them out that it doesn't make your dick grow longer even if you beat the shit out of some harmless reefer.

Pavel, im really dissapointed when one of our moderators leads by example in a negative way... havent you learned how to express yourself after all these years on the forum yet? i dont understand what the problem is conveying your opinions in a non-corrosive manner, the language that is becoming in this thread is not helping anything at all. think about it.

Surrender, with all the respect I have to say that I stand behind my words as long as I feel it to be justified and I talk about existing facts. Fair enough, you are right that it doesn't help to raise bad vibes among people towards authorities. Why to sink to their level? I also think that the right way to make these things better is to have a constructive dialogue with authorities, but sometimes it feels oh so frustrating when people are stuck with stereotypes and false information, I've had my share of it in the past.
