Anyone remember this cartoon from the '80's? I loved this 'toon when I was a kid. It's the kind of show that future Goaheads watch when they are children.
Anyway, I was just watching some old episodes for the first time since I was a little one and noticed that the soundtrack is very proto-Goa sounding. You can listen to some of it here: http://mcog.bkernst.net/soundtracks.html

Apparantly the music was composed by Nobuyoshi Koshibe, I wonder if he went on to make any kind of trance or dance music?

Anyway just curious if anyone here used to watch this and if they think it influenced them to later tend towards trance music.

Yes i remember this cartoon, but the music reminds me more Pink Floyd.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

BTW another site credits the score to Haim Saban & Shuki Levy. Anyone know who really made it?

A lot of it is very Pink Floyd too, my friend I was watching it with commented on that. Its not that the whole soundtrack sounds proto-Goa, but some parts I can so hear it. There are a few riffs though that are very very Goatrance (although without the kickdrum), and the ethno stuff mixed with synthesizers also gives it that pre-Goa flavor. Also that site I linked to doesnt have all the music, the "olmec" track is the only one that really has it.

That show rocked though didnt it?

Haim Saban & Shuki Levy are Israeli Tycoons who owns the company.

i also think tiakl used a sample from the start of that show in one of their tracks.
Haim Saban & Shuki Levy are nothing more then the partners who bought the rights of distribution in israel (and maybe beyond).

Thinking about it more the music reminds me of a mix of Pink Floyd, Suns of Arqa, Astralasia and Alien Mutation. There is one theme that reminds me of some of the synths in Juno Reactor-Beyond the Infinite (the theme with the brooding synthesizer organ in minor key, for those who know I really wish I knew who actually did the synthesizer work.
Id also be curious if many of the early goatrance producers watched cities of gold (or if any of them were involved in the music for it)
