had the same issue years ago, did two things:
bought this one
http://www.handshoemouse.com/
which sucks getting used to but really helps
and connected a second normal mouse to the pc and use left and right hand in turns. sounds funny, takes time to get used to.. but is actually the best thing to relax your main hand!
best luck with it mate

yeah dude i started a topic like this a few months ago when the same happened to me. these things work for me:
1. take breaks every 30 minutes even if just for five minutes or so.
2. use a wrist support if you arent using an ergo mouse like klippel suggests (i cant afford fancy ergo mouses but i wish i could!) for a wrist support I use this giant hackey sac i have, works awesome.
3. DO NOT USE THE TRACKPAD ON YOU LAPTOP FOR PRODUCING! you will destroy your fingers.
4. it looks silly but do these stretches:
all these things have totally relieved me from pain.
good luck!

If none of the above works, I bought a fellowes antimicrobe gel wrist supporting mouse pad about a year ago and I wish I always had it I have a crippled hand scheduled for surgery) and it is the only thing that helps that was cheap.
Equilizyme has the best answer
If anyone wants, I can post a link for my wrist support. I love it because it doesn't stop me when I want to stand or do something quick.
Sorry to hear that btw
cost 20$US max so not that much lol
Another suggestion, is to use midi assigned to knobs. It really saves my wrist from constant pressure and it feels cool |

In my opinion you'll run into wrist pain if you're sitting too low, with your wrists high up or bent. Your wrists need to be in a natural position which sometimes requires raising your chair up to let them relax and not fight gravity.
At the same time you need to make sure your wrists aren't too high and forcing your hands to a concave angle. I think your fingers and hand bones need to curve up slightly from the flat wrist.
What others have said is true as well, the piano wrist stretch can help a lot. |
