Some older tracks and an Ableton mix are free to download. Feedback is greatly appreciated!           .

I was going through your songs.
Can't tell you much, except that i rate theCarp best for its nice percussion, break beats and psychedelicness.

Nice tunes! I also like the Carp!

What's your technique on kick&bass (VST's, processing etc.)
?

Thanks for the feedback! TheCarp is my oldest track that I feel confident about, its had about 4 years now to age well, and get polished again here and there.

I mainly use a few good samples ive accumulated over the years for the kicks and basses, ive got a nice 303 bass sample and some Korg basses. Sometimes I use random VST basses for more experimental tracks, but mostly the samples. I put a low pass filter envelope on the bass sample to alter its sound and cut off the higher freqs, pan the kick a bit if it sounds ok, then EQ both tracks, send them both to a send track with a 3-band EQ to cut down the high end (though not cut OFF the high end, i like the bass to have some play in higher frequencies) and emphasize the midrange where the bass is peaking a bit (also, if it sounds ok). Thats about it. I try to keep the sound as clean and clear as I can. After the tracks are done I master them mainly using the Izotope Ozone 3 suite to widen the stereo image, compress any stray clipping, and add some harmonic excitation. I try to compress as little as possible, most of my tracks dont have a shred of compression in them. Proper EQing is much cleaner sounding and makes it a lot easier to master the final mixdown.

Uploaded some older tracks I got around to finishing finally. Apparently I even made a forest track, and forgot it for about 3 years before finding it again the other day and finishing it. Its up and available to download as well as some other older tracks I finally finished.           .

Changed some stuff around and added WAV versions of 'finished' tracks. Added a mix of my own tracks also.           .

my stuff usually runs around 150-152. I haven't really tried faster stuff too much, for some reason i really like 152...

Bump for work in progress track, would love feedback and criticism.           .
