the thing just died on me today
I mailed creamware support but according to people @PlanetZ forums the problem that I'm experiencing is quite common with old Pulsar cards and cannot be repaired
In short my card simply "forgot" all it's software serial numbers including Scope4 and will not allow me to re-enter them
rather stupid requiring serials for stock platform software if u ask me...
Anyway, I'll need to buy another card but cannot afford much al all. I heard some good and some bad about EMU 0404. The bad was mainly about the drivers. Has there been any improvement in regards to that?
Any other thoughts?...personal experience??
Cheers!

i use the EMU 0404.
Hav'nt had any problems with the latest drivers at all - decent latency, no crackling even with high CPU load.
i dont use the DSP fx however, so wouldnt be able to comment on that. |

i have the 0404 to. its a good card but i had some problems in the beginning. when i updated to second driver wich im using now, its almost 100% functional. only prob i have now is maybe every 100th time i power on my pc, then turn on the monitors, a big big nasty noise (wich cannot be turned down on the emu0404 software mixer) appears. it gives me the chills just thinking about the sound of it. maybe theres new drivers again now, i should probably check
Otherwise, very good card, the DSP is good to, i dont really use it though.
