yes , every chance the circumstancs and my creativity allow me , it is a good guss that i am in front of my computer..
but i have been producing for a few years now and still no releases or even any intrest among the local community so much..
any pointers? my slower tracks are imo not as good , i have been doing mostly darkpsy so i feel like even when i make 144-146 tracks with harmonic/melodic charctaristics
they still come out all weird...
but i was hoping to get feedback on the darker stuff like the tracks "identity theives" & "shiney beams of silver"
which are some of my latest..
i thrive from criticism , good and bad , i somtimes even feel the bad critisism when explained correctly is alot more helpfull..
so any opinions are most welcome.
peace and love,
yarden. |

Plasmorh,
cool sounds! i dig the vibe.. kind of reminds me of psykovsky some how...
nice innovative structure in the first track and the semi melodic lead works beautifull..
i personally love bpm changes/granular fx on kb/long pitch bending breaks..
experimentalism is good , but , can backfire on u like a MF iv'e learned...
so i would advise to place the breaks more traditionlly.. not allways , but usually..
the dj playing your tracks will thank u..
like in the first track on your myspace the first break is at 1:10 or so and it is a long one! that is usually about the time your expected to drop the main beat and where the dj does his mix...
also if u have a meter plug in , open it on your master channel and in the big tempo change breaks u got and in the most intense parts try to make sure the entire frequency spectrum is filled completly..
funny these are advices iv'e recived myself and am still practicing...
but over all , i think u got good felling in your tunes... |

awesome comment *.*
loved it....
what i love abt dark... (k dark, imo, its not the best word) its that u have completly no rules.... so i dont even think that much to make a music.. i work my brain off ofc.. but i dont plan... so it just comes out ahah
plz mate, if u can explain to me the part "entire frequency spectrum is filled completely" i would really be gratefull
btw, identity thieves heavy as hell!! like it... makes u go boom!! ahah
PS- yeah, when we advise, it feels like were pro.. .and we might be saying the most correct thing evah.... but when we take actions, its different ahhah
ty and peace!

Plasmorh,
thank u for the kind words, it always feels great when someone appricates your work..
i agree dark is a bad description/name for this genere but i am at peace with pepole calling it that...
frequncy spectrum-the graph/tablet thingy you see on your meter plug in or more advanced eq plug in, well , it shows all the range of frequency we humans hear , from as low as 20 hz up to 20,000hz or 20khz.
through the whole track u really want to be playing sounds at all these frequencies, not neccsserly all together but rather rapidly..
when your track peaks , use the meter to find out where can u imply more sounds and do so carefully,
tiny tech glitch sounds/soft pads/drones/rev work good as feelers like that..
i hope i was clear...
basicly i am saying attack on all fronts , low sounds , high sounds , mid crunchy sounds ,treble ,
on peak moments in the track have it all hapening, more sounds "talking" to each other
on your breaks make up for taking out the bass with more layers of madness, maybe even more tempo fx and glitches on kik bass..

nice sound bro, didnt like identity thiev one, like the shiny silver one, you have nice sound, decent understanding of the flowz, how i see it is, sound is reflective of the beings inner state, right now your sound is abstract, chaotic, vulgar, immense, strong, like ..if you develop your inner being, it will reflect back in your sound, making it wider, deeper, higher, natural, sutle, infinite etc etc,get comfortable with yourself, and get to grips with what exact sound you wish to make, the story of the track, its various concepts,if you sit with it for a while, it will unfold and reveal itself, taking you furthur up the path, so my suggestion is work inwards and your sound will become what you become, then let it flow, you already have the neassary sounds just mould them into a organic creation, breathe life into it ahaha,i dont know if this helps you,but cheerz neway

i am happy to be helpfull Plasmorh,
the nick name is actually supoused to spell
skepti-short for skeptych{i am aware of the awfull use of letters..} which is the very first name iv'e adopted..
the tip i belive is more in the mixing part of things as oposed to mastering which is done when the track is finished.
check the sticky topics in the production section for more info on mixing and mastering...
look for voxengo plug ins for eq and meter , they are rather easy to find and are quite good...
peace & love,
yarden
