hello , i just bought a delta audiophile 2496.It came in a nice box containing the driver cd and a couple of cds with loops and some 'delta' versions of ableton and reason.Everything's lookin good so i'm pretty much happy about it till i set it up and restart the pc so i can use it...

Problem 1: I start fl studio and as the card has been detected, the asio test starts.I'm pretty sure that there'll be no prob but hell no!The card fails the sync lost test :-(

Problem 2:I play some music on winamp and once in a while i get some static-clicks n pops!really annoying!

Problem 3:I play music(audio cds - mp3 cds) or video(dvd-divx)from the dvd or cdr drive
and i get a loooot of clicks n pops.Tried turning off dma but still the same...

Problem 4:Lots of clicks n pops when the card is in use and i move windows or drag and drop things!I turned video accelaration off and it's not a problem anymore.

Ok problem 4 solved but what about the others???Anyone who can help??
Could the root of all evil be my video card (geforce 4 mx by manli i think)or my motherboard (asus a7n8x-e)?
I've been told that my mobo-audio card is a shitty combination and that of my video-audio card is even worse...lots of conflicts n stuff :-(

Hi man!

This sync lost issue is really annoying! I really don´t know what to do for sure, but first I try to change all the settings for no sync losts(I use Cubase not FL). If u spend more than 1/2 hour doing this I simply reinstall all the softwares and drivers. I made it once(cause I was like 1 hour to sync the card) and it simply worked!

About the clicks and pops, I´m starting to think that it´s some confilct about the Audiophile. Cause friend of mine has one(actually he works with a Gforce 4 also) and I hear a lot of noises!!! When I stop Cubase there´s a very annoying noise!!! I work with an Audiophile at my house and it works perfectly! No clicks, no sync losts....

Btw, looking for someone who can solve this for us!           LOADING...

yes im afraid so baroni..i did install the newest drivers but same shit!
As far as geforce is concerned a mate that had exactly the same audio and video card as me told me there were conflicts between them,he simply changed the geforce for a radeon and everything works ok now.
I dont know....maybe i'll just downgrade to my old ati rage II and let you know..

Try to send your PC configuration to M-Audio support.
Perhaps some component in your system does troubles.
Mother Board perhaps?
Anyways, once i had this problem with the same card and after a virus check that discovered 1 virus and deleted him the problem disappeared.
So you should scan for viruses and trojans as well.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

hey babba ... really strange that .. i used one audiophile for almost 2 years .. and i never had problems ..

my advice to u if u use windowx XP ... tweek the OS , then

go to -> start ->programs->accessories -> system tools _>system information !!

then open the hardware resources ,it will apear more a few menus , chek does "conflicts sharing " and "irq" , and let me know .. if u have hardware working on the same irq etc ..

after that ... for ex ..

tell me how many PCI card do u have in your computer ...
another advice your sound card must be far from the video card ... for example ... use the last PCI slot .. or the before the last one ...

then .. wich is your motherboard ??? if u have onboard audio .. disable it in the BIOS.

tell me this infos .. and i can help u fixing this boomm

Hi,
Darkpsy is right you should pay attention to IRQ conflicts. Moreover when using FL or Cubase you should'nt use the generic ASiO driver that perform tests (the audiophile is actually failing this test).

Select instead the M-audio audiophile Asio driver (1/2 or multi).

As for the clicks and pops when wathcing dvd and stuff i also have the problem, the m-audio is fine for asio but it is wirking shitty with dvd sound decoding. I have two soundcards in my pc : a sblaster live for multimedia purpose and a delat audiophile for music making.. hope this helps

Try another driver. I had the same problem with my Audiophile. I had the newest driver but then I changed it to an older one and its been working fine ever since.

I had exactly same situation as AvS, I'm using now the driver version 5.10.0.5046 and its working fine

You may need to change the pci slot your card is in:

Also check whether you have 'APIC mode' enabled in your Bios, this could also be a cause for pops.

whow lots of thoughts on the subject!
Anybody knows if i can find drivers version 5.10.0.5046 in the m-audio site?i think not...
About the conflict thing i've already checked and there aren't any. Moreover the card is as far away as it can get from the video card and the ac97 is already disabled.I hadn't really thought about acpi from bios...boobytrip you could be right
Thnx a lot guys !think i'll just try everything and see what happens
