Well i bought my decks fiannaly, i paid extra for the good featrues (american dj dcd pro 500) everything works it seems. One of the reasons I choose this one over other decks is becuase it had a sampler built in. Unfortunaltly i find out that 2.6 seconds is as long as the sample can get.... thats not much time to sample.... also the BPM counter is another reason I wanted it. But I find the BPM counter isn't a relible count, and not consistant... perhaps my tapping isn't very accurate though... then again how hard is it to tap to the beat of trance? Anyone else here ever try those tapping BPM counters?
Also my mixes really suck... heh i'm a beginner. :)

man, all bpm counters suck. they can be used only when you are playing kinda simplw club stuff. they count peak level of each beat or kick and show you avarege speed of a track. but if you open a track in sound forge you will see that the repeating all the track kick graphically isn't same. but it is the beat only, but where did you hear a track withthe beat nly? ;) Add there some more sounds and that peak level will change again. thats why your bpm counter shows not the right speed. so, the best bpm counter is your head ;) practice more and it will come itself.

Don't even bother with those tapping BPM counters mate, they're rubbish. I've only seen one accurate BPM counter and that was on a Korg sampler which could take six different samples of 32 beat, 16 beat, 8 beat, 4beat , two beat and one beat. A quality little piece of kit only cost £250 |
