Here are a few ideas that I've noticed improves my concentration, mood and work flow (in no particular order)
>A good nights sleep
>Coming back from a good party (always new ideas and a feeling that what I'm doing is worthwhile)
>A cup of tea
>A tidy room (dunno what any of you guys rooms are like, but I can't stand cables and empty beer cans everywhere anymore - messy room - messy head)
>Remove all other stimuli (My DAW has nothing but what I need - I can't flick to games)
>Experiment - go nuts with the keyboards (I find a decent enough synth sound, hit record and just play, then amalgamate the good parts - try to repeat them with some changes. Helps if you play the piano
>Turn loop-mode off and do one thing at a time for a limited amount of time (I get severe loop fatigue very quickly listening to the same 10 notes while I tweak them)
>Exercise (Go for a walk - or run if you're hardcore, get those endorphins flowing and improve your mood easily)
>Don't smoke! (I don't anymore anyway, but creativity is one thing I never got from it. Try laziness and malcordination! Each to their own however)
>Watch a film with the intention of finding samples. Then you can get ideas or build a track around them.
>Buy a music magazine and try some tutorials
>Phone a friend for some colaboration (even if they're not musical or into making music, let them have bash on your synths and then steal their ideas.. haha)
>Listen to a type of music you don't like. Radio friendly Pop, RnB.. whatever. (It gives me greater desire to be different, to try something new)
>Design a track in an alternative way. Make visual notes on paper of how you'd like a song to sound then work from that. (Don't forget the glitter and felt!)
>Just make weird noises for a while, don't even go near a 4/4 beat.
Many many more.. use your imagination. If you're gonna be an artist, there are no set rules for anything. Guidelines, sure. But revolutions are always happy accidents.

@Psyrius - Grounding is a requirment for getting connected to your spirit, and music gives your spirit a voice.
So do everything that can ground you (clean tidy your space regularily, nurture your garden, stick to a daily routine, make sure your bedroom is the best place to go in the universe, wear good shoes and socks, cook yourself real food, if you can do exersise like walking and running.)
Listen to Tomos and New Era Scientist
Get out of your head and into your body - do some real jamming.
