Oh shit bro, I know exactly how it feels. once I played on a party I left my laptop in the backstage. Not looking for it for 5 minutes and it was gone. It was the end of the party so I walked around pissed about it and telling some people I password protected the bios and encrypted the hdd. so whatsoever and whoever took it it wouldnt be of any use except selling the laptop.
Funny enough to tell you that the laptop was found out in the snow a couple of minutes later.
I really hope someone is getting disgusted by his own thing he did to you. I absolutely cant understand the ideas that someone drive to do something like this.
So man, all the best to you and maybe you have that little bit of luck I had. Else its sad that we seem to have more criminal potential on parties these days.

I had a record bag stolen a few weeks ago with a load of really rare vinyl collected from all kinds of odd places. Out of my sight for one second.
For anyone else doing gigs, you might want to try something like this:
http://adeona.cs.washington.edu/
Which supposedly tracks (and potentially takes snapshots of the thief with the webcam) and emails details to you when they go online.
Prevention is better than cure. |
