You need to click the [III] button on top to the right of [M] [S] [R] [W] to make your event-blocks more happy
Btw, I think many people would like to work with a ghost kick so that you can sidechain stuff even when your kick is muted. Otherwise good work!

I've been partial to using ghost kicks lately myself, but I've just recently moved back to Cubase, and this video brought up a question for me......
I noticed you mentioned ticking the auto-gain makeup off, to avoid the bass becoming loud when it's not compressed by the kick. So, that means that if the auto-gain is off, there's no change in volume when the side-chain is not triggered?
This might sound like a dumb question to some, but this is what the usual result is for me.
Usually I use a ghost kick now, but I can imagine there might be some occasions I would want the bass uneffected if the kick is not there.

OK a very fast tutorial in how to set up a Ghost Kick in Cubase.
Let's use an example where you use an audio file as a Kick.
1. Copy the audio channel with the kick
2. Click and open up the "Ghost Kick" Audio Channel Settings
3. In the right upper corner change Stereo Out to No Bus.
Follow the Video tutorial by Obelizk and apply it to the Ghost Kick Channel.
