Hi everyone, i've been into Psytrance for years now and making my own is something i've always wanted to do. A few months ago i built myself a little set up and after a few nights messing around i've finally made something i've considered worth mastering and uploading. I made a video for it too because i want to do the whole lot and have a YouTube channel dedicated to it.
Please check it out and let me know what you think
I'm also looking to make videos for other peoples tracks, and if anyone else uses FL 10 or Reason 5 i'd be interested in trying a remix or collaboration.

Sorry by master I just meant I tried to get all the levels balanced and made sure it wasn't too quiet ect I don't really know how to master a track ha.
I know I need to work on my mix, any advice is much appreciated cheers! I think I fade in and out too much I need to work on making the sounds fit together better hopefully that is something that will come with time.

that filter sound you used in the beginning is suppressing kick and bass that sounds weird, i wouldnt do that.
you could use the eq of fl to have look what frequencies they share and cut them from the effect or maybe just highpass it.
at all i like the track, and the oldschool vibe in there.
keep on workin mate cheers

i can give a tips
when you mixing your track your track should
be realistic on the mix what is means ?
--
for example
--
first you need to put every channel to mixer
for example
bassline on mixer 1
kick on mixer 2
lads on mixer 3
..../etc
1.the kick should have compressor and eq.
2.the bassline should have eq little reverb and side chain
now when you listing to the bassline and kick your bassline should always go right when kick is coming.
3. on the leads you need to put eq and reverbSpace and little delay
now you go up and up when you mixing
when you finish to put all stuff (eq reverb so on)
now you go to mixer the bassline and kick you don't tach
on all other instruments lads drums so on you put volume down
now when you hair only the kick and bassline
you start putting volume up by 1 mixer channel
now when you hair your track really sound greet
then you go mastering it
mastring it's really easy if your track is mixing good.
how to mastering a track ?
1. export the finish mixing track to wav file
2. open the fl studio again
3. make same speed which your finish tracks
4. open your exported track to fl studio
now start puting
Gain
Compressor
EQ
Limiter
now start putting the Laval high and making track more stereo type
when you finish check your track on headphone
car if you have and other stereo players
and you need to know mastering it can be done by sound engineer if you like
type on youtube mixing and mastring watch the bassic video but don't do it same wavs
because every track have different mastering

Ok thanks a lot for all that! I will definitely try those steps on my next track. I think the problem is I'm not applying effects like you said i need to learn how to use the EQ and compressor properly. I've heard good things about Waves, i had a look at that pack and there's a lot of stuff in there are there any particular ones i should be using for psytrance?
I made another track over the weekend but it's not mixed very well again:

Smoker, i've had a look into these Waves plugins, they're quite overwhelming and as i'm new to this i figured i might as well learn how to use these right.
For EQ it seems most people recommend the Linear EQ, should i be using the Broadband/Lowband/Mono/Stereo?
I've heard good things about the L2 but again when would you use mono/stereo and when would you use L1 or L3?

This might sound harsh, but can you at least please layer the snare with your kick?
There are no rules for EDM,
BUT, some things, let you achieve the result you're looking for, more than others.

Ok thanks I've just had a look into layering are you saying the kick and the snare should play at the same time or I should use several samples to make up my kick and snare?
At the moment I just use a single sample for each and on the FL step sequencer they look like this:
