aloha amigo. cool intro! your bass needs to be loud relative to your kick. both sounds pretty good quality-wise tho. I think that leading into 3.00 you need a woosh or something, like a reversed reverb snare, or reversed crash, somethign to tell the listener that beat 1 is coming around again. helps with the flow. I think you break could benefit from a pad too maybe, more atmosphere. cuz the laugher is all atmosphery, pretty neat

good stuff!

as far as learning a new DAW, i would focus on learning all the native synths before getting VSTs. you will learn more and save CPU and i imo be more creative this way.

Interesting work , Good built , Simple , With an nice story and rhythm (And/So about the drive in - Some how you creat an cool 'Continuity'/'Consistence' (Sound into sound who bring the right follow , When i realy liket that - But .. This is not a 'Real' stream , This is just illusion of the other sound's around , When this is great , But i belive The real drive coming from the percussions and the hh loops , Your loops (Some places) Realy good .. But they are realy thin , Try bring more mass to this area too And/So/Then you'll see the difference's .

Can agree with mr. Equilizyme about the bass , Must be more 'Spacious' , Open , 'Here' and surround .

Cheers ..
