this sounds like your beginnings... i like it as a beginners track that includes original stuff. Some of the breaks are really interesting. Diversify the rythm and get better samples for the bass and try once again, since you've got the potential.

Hey ernestgrin,
thanx,it's my first one on cubase (used to work with Reason but Cub sounds more pro)do u think the problem is in the bass or the kick ,i ask this because i'm using a Albino patch from cosmosis for the bass, and it seems to me that the kick its takin too much space dunno? and it's sidechained
do u think LM7 is good for kicks?
I'm allready starting a new one |

just try listening to tracks you like and pay attention to the bass+kick. If these sound good then any other sound will fit in, just as long its in the rythm.
As you have noticed the bass is eating the kick or vice versa. They must not be at the same frequency, like any other sound. Two sounds at the same frequency cancel each other...
Kick + bass are in the low section
squeeks or any other main theme sounds are mid and some even go to the high
the high hats, crashes, rims, and whoever knows what are the highest.
Just listen to the best and practice, thats the best advice i can give you... |
