Hello
I'm totally new to producing psytrance and thus I'm really happy to have found this forum, thank you all for great tips'n'tricks!
I've been working all night tonight trying to make some darkpsy bassline. Could you please give it a listen and give me some advice?:)

Here it is, just 52KB: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=e3a72057ab16f0b0d2db6fb9a8902bda

Cheers!

Just finish a track and post in the new tracks section.

As I'll reply to every thread like this until people stop posting them: A kick and bassline are useless out of context, they have to fit the track and each other.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

I don't think it's a bad idea to post just the kick/bassline. If it's not eq'd right to start, you might end up eqing other stuff in your track incorrectly which could make the whole thing just sound like crap. Just my opinion.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Some artists come to mind...

Procs
Olien
Derango

Their kicks and basslines often would sound awful, or at least, obscure, out of context.

Also, in techno music kicks and basslines often sound very raw, but in combination with other stuff - very tasty

So, I'm those who think that uploading bare sounds is pointless...

medea I do not think those artist's basslines would sound awful ever.
they are crafted very carefully.

Ok, ok.
I'll try to expand it into a tune and maybe then...
Thanks for the replies anyway

Sounds like you need to cut away at your bass a bit to let your kick breath.
