Digital Psyence> You should consider what you REALLY need of hardware. Of course you need some good monitors and a pc with a good audio interface.
But when it comes to synths, you should really dig deeper into the strengths and weaknesses of each are and then choose. For instance I really believe it would be overkill to get both an andromeda and a virus ti (yes I know that there are differences between them, but if the TI with the new hypersaw is able to emulate the analog fatness of the andromeda, I would really not care to get the "real" thing  ) The sane choice, as I see it, would to go for a virus and a nl2 since I believe the supplement eachother in a very great way (still need a nl2 myself!), and then wait a while to see whatever else you may need...

thou i made boards alone and didnt bought ready pcb's

with the 1.0.9 update my Virus Ti finally works perfectly and usb 1.1 seems to be no problem. i`m using more channels most of the time. it is necessary to have cubase 3.1.1 and one dedicated usb port just for the Ti. if you are interested in Ti, go to store and try for yourself, imho great sound and many possibilities. there are quite many improvemets compared to C model. for the price you get really fat multitimbral VA synth.
i`m reading this now and it looks like an advertisment, but i`m just in love with this machine
