Yeah, I did also receive the news about the three new Synth "books" from Simon Cann.
I find it a bit sad that they are only available as ebooks. Although I am a Nerd, I like real books way more

I will buy them today I think(except the one for iPad synths), 3 bucks for one is a fair price.

I found "Mixing Audio" by Roey Izhaki to be massively useful.

It covers way more than just electronic music, and a lot of the examples on the included CD are more rock oriented, but the amount of great tips and tricks in there is pretty amazing.

A blank notepad is a MUST HAVE.

I write down my own CONFIRMED and fully UNDERSTOOD theories and practices. Stuff I pick up from forums, stuff I've read in big books and condense down to the stuff I need and understand by re-writing in my own words (revision!)

Personally, I have loads of books labelled 'Music Production', 'Music Theory', 'Engineering', 'Notes', 'VST thoughts' etc. etc. Um, quite a few actually, I didn't realise how many!
