hey. I just wanted to know you peoples opinion on whether when you go to a festival, do you like a mix of all styles, or of you like full on(I am sorry but I will refer to subgenres as it is evident even in some festivals there are full on like FULL moON festival). The psy trance community seems to be so much devided as festivals are now being dominated by one subgenre. Do you like this, or would you like the mix.

I for sure like each different kind, as long as I can experience various things and it is special, not same kind of stuff like all others.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

Hi Dude!!
For me one thing that i regret is the complete lost of time notion, acording to the "sub genres", on my old days on trance partys,(90's), each party was a music trip and experience, cause a party normaly start with Chill/Ambient tunes, then some Tech-Trance/Progressive,(135/140Bpm), during the period between 03h&06h was more Full-on sounds and in the Sunrise lot's of Psychedelic/Melodic quality tunes. For me that was the best way of enjoying a party, cause you never feel tired, and only the music was suficient to put you High.
Now days, you go to a party and listen normaly to some variations of Full-on, (the psychedelic is a little bit forgot...), for 12/18h, with no respect for the time of the day, so you ended tired and listen to some hard Full-on at 10:00h Am, only because it's the music that the party promotor or the DJ like. Tss...Tss...
I don't like also the catalogation of Trance music, for me; i like a tune or i don't like it ei don't care much about "sub-genres".
Psichedelic salutes!!

Hi EvERYBODy !!!
in my opinion musical diversity is imperative on a festival , part of people si coming for a sub -genre and othe rpart for another one , we need to deserve all kind of sub-genres to supply people's musical expectatives, like actually is done and i think is a great combination :
night=dark
morning/day=full-on psychedelic
afternoon=progressive

each one makes his own formula as party promoter , but still being true that festivals like full moon or Voov have their own formulas , the objective is trying to make each festival in his own way and build an identity .Musical diversity makes the diversity on the festival.

I prefer line ups like Samothraki 2003.Just high quality music,legendary names,promising newcomers,not a lot of artists with commercial bullshit style performances(as full moon's fest ) ,alternative styles,great mixture of plenty music styles during the night and the day time..And of course ambient,dub,chill music!           www.myspace.com/tasos_notrea
