Musical influence while painting.. sculpting etc?

Was wondering what sum of u artsy folk throw in your decks for inspiration....  i know it doesnt necessarily have to be psy!!

In my case i just have to ear music acording to the work... or have the tv in some channel. I can't ear classic music while i'm painting some psydrop. I can't feel inspiration borning at my head... I guess we artists are very complicated!!!!

Well I don’t know if is the same for all the psy-art artists but for me the music is really important in my inspiration. Nice Splif + Good sound = Great result! 
Must of the Artist produces those works for a specific range of people, so in this case people will enjoy the works mainly during or around psy-trance events.
So to try to match the result as close as possible to the party’s atmospheres, listening music is use full!! 
I guess it should be the same for artist making backdrop, flyer, and deco in general …
Try to imagine what will be the result during the events or how party people will look at it …
Back in your mind and try to bring this atmosphere into a blank shit
Is not have to be that way, may be some artist need a very quiet place to get something out of mind, I guess is all depended of the artists!

Well Monday morning, I'm just starting to work on an album cover, after a nice breakfast... and for motivation I just dropped JestoFunk : "Love In Black Dimension" albom which is a Jazz Band with an House vocalist, so pretty good, positive and cool to begin the day..

it is all up to the music the darker it is so does my painting and i mean psy
it can move from chill to prog' and some time to othere way into some thing like "dead can dance" but its allways the music that gives the tune not the other way.

Just music don't makes the artist. Some music are better to a kind of work, others, as good as well, are not the perfect ones to do some stuff. They give energie but they are not our gas; our mind and knowledge it is.

I some times doesn`t use music.
I use a little piece of my life.... looking throu my life and add the stuff to a paper or direct to backdrop.
But I usualy help artist, to get started.
My painting is not that good.
I some times think of three words.
1. Mother nature/forest
2. Fairytales around the world/ folk lore
3. And Horror.... what will frighten people.
example: a frightening - spirit - from nature.
These three things with music starts my brain to work, but thats just me.
Everything has a sound..... |

Aifos, point taken... it definately is not fuel.. that comes from within inside... though it has been documented numerous times that music has been a major influence on sum of our greatest artists.
iv always been inclined to doing creative stuff but im not good with my hands... so when i discovered photshop i kinda let loose for a while... though i started working and didnt pursue my artistic interests.
I was a 60's/70's rock and metal fan through my younger days and i know the influence it had on me didnt necessariyl bring me to produce works that are aesthetically pleasin...... as i got out of skool i first listened to psy & visited goa which got me turned to the 'psy' way of life
