You are younger than I am, so stop being lazy and get on with learning. Despite our arguments and your donkey like stubbornness, you will receive help from many people on here, including my self.
If you are as passionate about this music as you say you are, it will improve your life to no end.
You are lucky you are into dark trance though, a basic kick and bassline pattern, a couple of pads and leads, and then inserting dBlue glitch on the master output will give you the average dark trance tune that gets released.
just joking, nobody spaz

but what is with cubase?
i was told that you can see the score there'?
can anyone give me any score???
please?
whatever style. just the score of all instruments and paths?
you think there is no such thing????????????
you just go to the score option in cubase with a track. i just wanna have a glimpse

I don't know about cubase but in Logic there you can see scores... which is going to be semi relevant for this type of music. those melodie or simple note shot would not sound very intereting without the synth patch which often is the most important musicaly.
its not always like that there are some good chord progressions and melodie but most would not sound as interesting with piano forte for example. |

I'm not sure if that's luck... dark trance??? is trance for starters... last time i heard proper dark trance was with dark soho. Do they engineer they bass and kick these days? and for the love of christ this glitch is really irritating.
And what is it with this blood gore stuff.... I mean what does that have to do with psytrance or trance for that matter. I understand thing evolute sub categories emerge but man I don't see the relationship.
the adept of this music should get a new name, don't call it trance, its not. a bunch of messed up sound don't make it so.
I know thats of topic but i couldnt resist to have a go at it

well, first of all thanks for the tips.

aa, i see. so it is not so easy to get a score, because they dont wanna give it away:). why actually? but i cant imagine that they dont interract and send their midis or whatever raw files to one another. the trance scene is famous for this interraction - everyone is sending something to the others, or they just do music together....i cant imagine that the raw files + scores are so secret...
but i have a few fruity loop files that i got sent from someone whom i will not mention here cause he didnt want me to say. and still in fruity i could not see the score. i like it i a form like this one ))) : http://blogs.sun.com/plamere/resource/aphex%20twin.jpg well in a language that i know.....

i am not too old for learning man, i mean i was old for the adventure to get all the scores easily from anyone. i am quite sure that i could do it much more easily 10 years ago:)))).
anyway, i can still learn it alone. just wanted to ask if you have some scores just to have a glimpse. or may be you have some topics with the basic things?

You can do it alone. But looking for scores is time away from sitting down and learning to sequence stuff. Start by putting down a basic kick and bassline pattern. There are infinite threads on the basics on here, so start diving in by using the search.
The thing with this music is that sound design is just as important as the notes played these days, even more so important I would say.
So start learning how to program synth sounds.

@Moki.Time.Wave.Zero
This Score thing is overkill... if you wanna learn classical composition go ahead and do it, i dont think there are many here at isra that knows it, but i know there are a few...
why not just program midi and see how the score looks afterwards

no i just wanna know where exactly to position the kick and the pattern to have the sound i love and i think that i dont have to lose time to experiment because we have 15 years of trance history and we can learn from the experience of those who know more, in order to improve instead of repeating the same experience they made searching for the right thing and losing time. besides, i just wanna have a glimpse once and for all. after that my fingers can follow the score on my keyboard, which is to me quite more easy than putting a quadrat onto the path. mk, i will see those midis, where are they? i can remember many years ago the midis of mfg were circulating in the net. i dont have them now, btw i dont even have cubase because i had a total laptop crash so i only have fruity and logic now. can someone reccomend a midi that i can open for this software please? and see the score??????????

but it will not open the score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or can you tell me how i can see the score in fl??? i dont see any possibility in fl ! as i said i had a midi file from a quite good artist but i dont see the score.
and please to all@, dont explain that i dont need to see the score . i really need to see it!!! i am just faster with the fingers. this path with the rectangles is not my thing. it would be just so great if i could see the score. for so many years i could only imagine what is actually being played. i mean the real trance tracks, not the over melodic ones where you can easily imagine the score. i cant believe that there is nowhere a place in the internet where i can see the scores of the midis! anyway even if the artist doesnt wanna share the thing, very few people can do anything with the score. cant anyone just go to this cubase option and then share the score as pdf or whatever??? even if it costs money i would be very interested to see it.
and bethoven has not feared to share scores either. if the music is so unique it will never ever be copied just like that ......and btw IT IS much more dangerous to share midis than scores, and most of you share midis, dont hide:)

not hiding anything its just not available in FL , and cubase i use only audio. dont care to share midi (or fl project) but it will be extremly useless without the patch it plays (i use alot of hardware gear but can prepare vst project too).
might be many times one note with fm or filter tweak so the score looks incredibly dumb as it doesnt contain more data exept pitches and groove while many sounds build only on groove and sound design.
maybe melodyne DNA will help you as soon it will realese but im pritty sure its still ALOT about the synthesis then score (in this genre you are after.. as well proggresive)

well not without the patch. together with the whole project would be ideal. at least to hear what is the vst exactly. or at least with the single names of any vst's used, written on the pages of the score. 100 pages - yes, i realize that, may be even more btw. i think it is more than 100 pages. if you want to have all paths for the whole 7 min or whatever it is. i realize it will be big, but if it can be just exported as a pdf would be more than ideal. i can remember we were sitting once with shiva jorg at home in front of this cubase and i saw that it could not be exported, it could only be "followed".....not sure, but this is what i saw then, it was some time ago.
in this genre i am after? i am not after a genre. not really. i mean, i am listening to trance since more than 10 years, and there are quite a lot of styles that i like. actually i quite like them all. and the fact that the ppl are boring me with the same and same tracks nowadays, does not mean that i cant do it better myself:))). hope you understand. i dont listen to dark only. right now i listen to california sunshine jajo. mmmm. after that the whole afternoon prgressive classics for the soul and the heart. the northern lights:) i like many styles.....so every midi would be useful actually.
