Hi everyone

Long time I've posted in here

Ok, I wanted to make a thread to discuss music theory.

I am now graduating in sound engineering and have gained a big interest in Music and the theory involved, but if there is a thing I could change in my life was to have learned to play some instrument when I was a kid...I have no knowledge of Music Theory and is such a huge topic that everytime I go to search for knowledge I just seem to get more lost...

So I would appreciate a lot if ppl with knowledge of this could give some simple tips/instructions for us music dummies...

Things like, what kinds of scales are used mostly is psy trance?
Does the scale change during tracks in psy music?

I make very melodic music myself, although I go for no rules, just ear, and sometimes I feel that altough I have 2 melodies that go well with eachother soundwise, they don't have the same "feeling", I guess I am mixing diferent scales toguether or something like this....or maybe I'm just making no sense...lol

Anyway, I am a bit lost in this pursuit of Music Theory knowledge, so any tips/practices/experiences about this will be very appreciatted.

Thanks for your time
