I don't have any answers to your questions. Nor do you. All the better reasons for keeping our minds open, right?
Maybe it's total crap and scam. Or maybe it's an amazing workshop. Or maybe it's a different thing to different people. I don't know, so I don't feel like trashing these people and what they do. Why do you feel like trashing them? Just because they decided to charge money for their work? |

I think its pretty cool. But, learning the instrument, or software tool, whatever it is, doesn't need to lock you into a particular style or genre.
My first guitar lessons were taught by a folk singer. I turned right around and hammered out Sabbath tunes with what I learned.
I expect the same of this trance production school. Learn the tool, learn the basics, then your own taste and inclination can take it from there.
(My preferred teachers would be Colin and Outolintu)

And I didn't specifically say I thought you were jealous, (although that is the way you can tend to come across, whatever your actual motivation) just that I need to put myself in a frame of mind where I'm jealous of the success of others to be able to appreciate what you say and the way you say it. I am sorry to say I do not see this as an education in any way. It takes a bit more than a few weeks in Ibiza.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the "nice Holiday in Ibiza" bit. People pay to do all sorts of things these days. My old dad even paid $10k for a 2 week tour in South America photographing insects just for fun.
However I do think there would be some useful education perhaps different for each person.
I bet there is no pass/fail test at the end.
Collin is just jealous of the chicks.
