Well it's hard to say, but still it is quite simple:

Good music touches your legs, ass and hips with a decent, unresistable groove, your guts with something you can't really put your finger on, it's just there, you know it, your heart with some truely emotional patterns (not just cheesy melodies!), your throat with some associatively intelligently placed vocal samples and lyrics, your mind with some abstract statement and your spirit with some really strange atmospheric sounds from beyond this life.

Artists? hm...

Best are Hallucinogen, Eat Static, Tristan, Prometheus, the ooooold (1998) GMS, Slug, Optokoppler, the newer MFG and others like that. It has to scratch and itch and rumble and stomp on you.
