normally laptops are not optimal for music creation but anyways get the best specs you can afford, that's it. you also need an external usb or firewire soundcard. |

I got an HP Pavilion dv6171 I installed tinyXP beast edition on it, works a charm.
The only downpart with my setup is a non too powerful USB soundcard (Lexicon Alpha made in USA), it is great for live show and handles a preety good amount on processing since it is a dual core Turion.
But if you are looking for something serious, it will more way more expensive than a desktop.
You will need a good Fireface RME and a custom Alienware.
That would be a strong laptop.
Just go and log into Alienware and customize your laptop, it shows the total cost with no shipping.
I would never change my AMD 4800+ 64X2 for a laptop. www.myspace.com/enertopiapsy |

for sure its about the alien on your laptop, its magic or not?
ok, the possibility of a 7200 rpm HD is great, for the rest it looks like a normal but expensive laptop to me. |

If u have the money go for macbook pro. It will never let u down on performance and reliability. and if you really really need Windows u can install it on the mac too using apples official workaround called BootCamp. |
