Multibend compressor adds noise to vb-1. Please help!

Hello! I added to vb-1 multibend compressor and quadrafuzz. Bass is very
good,but with noise. I was trying to add equalizer and cut frequences - noise
was off but also bass was bad. What I must do? |

you say bass got good when you added some multiband compression eh?
And then it got bad when you EQ'ed it? Then i'd say practice using EQ's.....read a bit in the mother of all basslines thread for example. Many good tips to get there.

SOunds like u are pushing too much the high freq on QuadraFUzz.... Be carefull with this plug. It can ruin your sound.(but I love it)

if you really mean that you get noise when using multiband compressor (or any kind of compressor), your attack might be set too fast.
This is most obvious on low frequency band, so mute other bands and play with the attack time. If you set it too fast, long bass wave cycle gets adjusted too fast and it will cause distortion. It is not such a problem with high frequencies where the wave cycle is shorter. In general, the higher frequency, the faster attack... at least what I've found out 
.. or you could be just using a low quality plugin?  (which is it, btw?) |
