hey, anyone could share some experience with those? i also would be happy about any usage experience about any multicomp/limiter.
i use them more "presetish".
with C4 i use "to much limiting" preset and put up the "range" for each band until it sounds right and not overcompressed (kind of like a EQ + compression). it gives much loudness, and nice sharp highs, with bass i have no ecperience with c4, any suggestion to how i can get a better idea of compressing the lows?
im not sure about the L3. ok it is a limiter.
i know how to use the L2 (singleband limiter^^) and i get the idea of multiband limiting... it takes out to loud peaks in the whole spectrum without affecting the whole spectrum, only the band which is peaking. here is the problem. doesnt it sound better to get the quiet parts up (compression), than cutting the peaks?
or is a combination of both preferred?
with the L2 limiter, i tried that the signal nearly never reaches the threshold, but with the L3 its a whole new thing, and i dont want to rape the sound too much, if you understand^^
cheers
