I didn't know how to ask this but i wanted to know if there are compressors processing more than one sound.
eg. i put my vocals in my first 2 mono/stereo inputs, put the guitar in the second mono/stereo, put the bass in the third and so on.. and then by selecting the preferable input i set my values for each channel and then the compressor processes each sound seperately but on the same time.. and have them on a mixer taken from diffirent mono/stereo outputs.
if there's something like that, i'd be happy to be informed.. if not, i'd be happy some company makes it.

why you want it all in 1 box? if you dont have thousands to spend, software is the way to go for this. forget about cheap hardware compressors they are not for producing. |

mmm just want to say that cheap hardware comps can be awsome!
don't underestimate the uniqueness and usefullness of even the most simplest of gear.
i had the tla audio fat1 red tube comp thingie. cheap worth around 1000nis and it was awsome for the price.
sure i wouldn't master with it.... but for a mic/synth/guitar it was way better than i expected and i can't say i heard this sound in software.... maybe amplitube kinda.

I don't understand your question Remote. It sounds like you want a mixer with compressors on different channels/buses. All major DAWs can already do this...

Remote can you tell us more about your current set up? What DAW? hardware mixer? Audio interface? Mic preamps? What are you doing with it? Recording bands or just yourself one part at a time? are you recording drums? and whats your budget.

okay.. let's say i have an SSL compressor that i love (for my reasons obviously) and i want to set up a live performance using it at 1, 2, 3 or more sources at the same time, and -of course- with different settings at every source...
do i have to buy more of them ?
