My music tends to lean toward the melodic, smooth, yet still powerful side of psytrance.Faster BPMs and psychedelic synth lines combined with analog sounds,. extended filter-swept drones, smatterings of melody here and there...At least thats how it seems to end up.My goal is mainly to produce music that trips me out, and I like to think if its trippy and enjoyable to me, maybe someone else will enjoy it too..

I love the sound of analog synths, so those same sounds make their way into my works all the time.I also love clean sound, so Ive worked hard over these years to fine-tune my sounds to be as clean as possible within my own means.I dont claim to be any kind of mastering genius, but I think my sounds have the balance and clarity Im trying to achieve.
My influences I would name as primarily Russian; CPC, Dominator Project, Terminator, Fearkiller, Furious, Kindzadza...As well as my fellow Americans Mubali, Ocelot, Shapestatic, and the Fractal Cowboys, as well as any other artists whose work has touched me over the years such as Darkpsy, Prisoners of the Sun, Kino Oko, Perfect Stranger, Twisted System, OOOD, Krumelur, Sensient...And a lot of other styles of music too, electronic and otherwise.For example I love to play Iron Maiden on bass guitar, and Dimmu Borgir once touched my soul in a profound way (long story)...

My musical history began at age 10 learning to play bass clarinet in the school band, on through high school learning a bit of guitar and bass, then at 16 finding Impulse Tracker and electronic music, and from then on there was no turning back...I happened to see some old Eat Static, Juno Reactor, and Underworld videos on MTV and heard for the first time the psychedelic sounds I instantly loved.It wasnt until 2003 that I rediscovered trackers, and after a bit of experimenting and discovering Renoise, the final pieces were there to put me on this path Ive been on ever since.Lots of water under the bridge since then, lots of catharses, lots of learning and most of all, lots of sitting in front of computers and cdj's...

Links to pretty much every track I have completed at the moment can be found here;

Currently Im polishing up my Ableton Live mixing skills so I can play digitally, and Im also working on putting together loops and such for a live act. Ive mixed using CDJs for around 4 years now so its not like Im lazy (well I am, just, have the option of doing work if I want/have to) and can play CD sets no problem, of my own tracks or others', Ive got a pretty good collection.

I prefer to play music that is similar to my own, that has influenced me over the years, like Terminator, Dejan, Fractal Cowboys, Ocelot, Mubali, Shapestatic, Whicked Hayo, Polyphonia (RIP dude)/Metallaxis, CPC, Kindzadza, the Nommos... Well I think you get an idea.

Im always making new sounds and have even begun a proggy side project 'Orbweaver' to express the smoother, more organic and melodic aspects of my work. Im always finding new things that inspire me, in music as a whole, psychedelic or otherwise, and random places one would never expect to find inspiration. Lots of my work has come about during times of stress and uncertainty, but somehow, no matter how Im feeling the tracks seem to end up expressing positivity, and always serve to help cheer me up and see the better side of the situation. Maybe others can share that feeling...

I dont know where half the tracks I make come from, they almost seem to crystallize as Im creating them, sort of like a sculpture taking form from random smacks on a rock . I think it was Michaelangelo who said something like "The sculpture is there in the rock, all I did was remove the extra stone" (I probably badly misquoted that but you get the idea).

Maybe someday I can have the privilege of playing my tracks out at a party, or maybe even hear my stuff in another's set, but til then Im just going to keep on crystallizing the randomness
