Leaving in Morocco for 6 month now, it's quite the same problem here.
You can find all kind of burned CD or DVD for sell in the streets. The government is talking about doing something about it... But it would put out of business hundreds of small shops. With no other result anyway.

About psytrance : it's a (very) small community here.
And there is no way to get original CDs.
Most people get paid between 5 and 10 € a day and even if they have the money, they can't order on internet cause they can't change their dirhams in euro (or any other international currency).
So the only way to have new music is to download it. From Russian website for exemple....
But they are more and more people into psytrance here. With international psytrance events in Morocco, some of the money will somehow go back to the global psy scene as DJs fees. It will take time but that's about the only way... And the best IMO.

The same "problem" here in Bulgaria.
But what's the real reason for low sales ;o
IMO the bad distribution.
I'll give you example from Bulgaria. For the last couple of years it has been virually impossible to buy original psytrance cd here (if you don't count some licensed from spirit zone MC's, distributed by local metal label). So far no chance for any sales :] but there were some trance addicts...leeching from audiogalaxy and then exchanging cdr with mp3 - that was the reality just before audiogalaxy's death.
Then people discovered slsk and his big brother dc++... and for some time nothing changed :] ppl were happy (I suppose some of them actually don't even know where are these mp3s coming from )
Few months ago the situation changed a bit. New music store opened and some psytrance cds appeared in the "Alternative" section by chance :]
Pretty small amount but still something (i mean there are 6-7 different albums - a couple of Spirit Zone releases + Son Kite "Colours" )
It's also pretty hard to find them as they are buried with commercial "alternative" #$%@...and the prices are quite high (15+ euro) compared to the average saliry here.
Still there few albums dissapear quite fast. They usually put 1 or 2 copies of each album on the shelf and usually the cd's dissapear for less then a week.
Ok...i understand that maybe the total amount of copies sold here is maybe 20...but imagine if you can sell this 20-50 cds in other 50-100 places aside of your normal sales from online shops and retail shops in western Europe and other developed countries.
I'm pretty sure that the situation is similar in many countris including Russia :]

and please don't tell me that online shops deliver worldwide :] So far only saikosounds worked for me ;o and also you need credit card and 95% of the people here are unable to get cc because of their low saliry.

So what's the problem in this situation? 99% of the labels and/or "worldwide" distributors aren't doing their job well as they "obviusly" don't distribute worldwide , and when they get weak results they blame the mp3s :]

So if i want to buy newly released Yotopia album what can I do? Almost nothing :] and what am I doing - i leech mp3 release. What's changed? No matter if I leech mp3 files or not I cannot buy what I want.

Baba, paying pirates for the CDs is not fair. If you really can't afford it because of lack of distribution, I think you'd better download it, if you really got no chice. Still, if you got some moral, you'll delete the files after you heard it ))

P.S somebody said, in Israel it's the same shit with mp3. No way! Did you see Infected Mushroom or Alien Project or whoever playing directly from mp3? Cause in Russia they play directly from mp3 compos. Even Parasense btw
          Sea>Israel>Ben-Gurion>Tel-Aviv>Ramat-Goa>Marom Neve
is this pure reality could we be led?
