THE DELTA – SEND IN SEND BACK (Album D-Drum)
I would say that this is my favorite album of the year !!! Unbelievable music!!! The thing is the album just got mastered and it is scheduled to released in february…I got it from some ftp site in mp3 format :( I don’t know how it actually happened !!! but once again some fucker ripped it and put it on the net (released in --> ftp) ,, I just don’t see the point why would they do it ?? And How the fuck did he get access to the DELTA album ??!?!?! The promo is not even out yet !!!! (and I don’t think it will…) I will make sure to buy the original quality album, bacuse I respect and love their music and I hope that other fans of Markus and Arne will do the same and that will help to keep the scene alive.. cheerz! |

promo's are usually being spreaded to dj's, close friends, etc. I guess one of those has a leak and supplied it to the mp3 group who released it. the group who released it is the biggest group who release electronic music these days so it isnt just one guy who was being a shithead like you think.. there's nothing you can do to stop those guys just the same way you can't stop the audio warez scene, the graphics warez, the games, the movies warez scene, etc. the internet has no boundries and no kind of a law can draw the line..
so if it bothers you that much just don't d/l it next time..

Yes I agree, BUT I am NOT TALKING ABOUT THE PROMO here, I am talking about the album that just got mastered in d-drum studio or wherever it gets mastered,, how in the world can it leak from there ???!!!! Anyway this what I found out from one dude –> quote:
“Those guys know the DJs and they actually work in record companies like for example d-drum, atomic, spirit zone etc… They have many people helping the group from every record company man, how do you think they get all the music couple of months before it comes out for every record company ? They are working in record companies like d-drum for example, come home and start ripping…. Everybody does it for the scene reason, they have competitions who gets the releases faster, They have races on mIRC, you don't know how big is the fuckin system, They have ISP companies in US with 45.mg connection lines, cause they got people working at those companies, they got 300 gigs a server, cause everybody donates, everything.,..”
I don’t know if that information is true but,,, it sounds belivable….
So the question is why would employees that are working in label companies would do such thing ???? If anybody knows the answer to that plzz reply !!

Its just not right when a producer spend soo much time working on his music production and now he sees it get released not even mastered at times on the net before the actual "legal" release date

well your qoute is true..
I agree that it's a shame it happens and I can't understand those guys who had a part in the album itself and then just go and release it to the world..
but you see, their way is simple - sooner or later someone else will release it. so why not releasing it themselves and win all the fame and glory instead? it's all about competition here.
the damage will be done in any case so they prefer causing it themselves even sooner than expected. at least they'll "win" this competition..

Well folks, i'll try to give the point of view from down here in Brasil. Getting psy trance releases at fairly reasonable prices here is next to impossible. I know people who tried to live of that, but they all failed miserably. Our currency is devalued, our taxes are as high as they can get, and government puts every imaginable barrier in front of people trying to import stuff from abroad. Therefore, the psy trance scene here lives mostly of mp3 stuff. Having said that, I just got the Delta album from a FTP site, and as Receptor said, it is awesome. When it is eventually released officially, i intend to buy the real thing. But that's me, and i can afford doing that every now and then. So, for ppl like me and my friends, it´s not like we can walk into a shopping mall and buy quality psy trance stuff. We have to buy from the Net, facing every imaginable problem, OR we can get mp3 stuff, and buy only those records that are absolutely amazing. sorry for the long post guys. 8) np: ninja - tribal setting |

Yes I agree 100%. Hmmm I thought about it and WHAT IF all this hassle with mp3s is done just for a plain and simple reason---> PROMOTION ? ;) I mean as Luiz Paulo said there are ppl that buy music (or can afford to buy, and respect the rights of the producer’s that we like) and there are ppl that never buy music, because they simply cant afford it.. So I guess maybe this ftp/mp3 promotion is targeted for ppl that actually buy music ??

The problem is that I know a lot of people that can afford to buy music and they just don´t give a fuck. Specially some new djs over here... I believe that, as a dj, when you receive $ for a gig, you should thank to the guy who produced the tracks you´ve been playing, and buying their music is the only way to support this artists... if u receive $ for the gig, the most correct thing to do is to pay for the music you´re playing. If everybody had this conciousness, some psytrance producers could stop producing some shitty house tracks for the $ and live only with the $ of their psytrance productions... |

good point!! ultimately it boils down to supporting the scene, and its not ever good when a few good psytrance artists are forced to stop, or make other types of music because they cannot support themselves from psytrance alone.
Still, if The Delta`s new album is out, about to be out, or in line for a release, then I`d like to get it as soon as possible.
If this means making the choice between getting it on mp3 now, and waiting 4 months for its release, I or anyone would try to get the mp3 version now, which is basically what Ive been trying to do since I read this post :).
Of course, as soon as the album releases, I would buy it too .. but geez, its AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW ... where can I find it? any ideas? |

Luiz, does the fact that you can't get your hands on a new CD every week makes it right for you to illegaly copy it?
all the excuses of "I can't afford 80NIS (18.5$) for a CD" are shit.if it means enough for you, you will buy it. there are enough web sites to buy from - delivery is fast, accurate, and usualy it's even cheaper than in normal shops.
the same problem happens now with another band, good friends of mine, who got their whole CD spread across the net. their album release was postponed, and they have to work on additional trax for it, just because some lame ass couldnt keep the stuff for himself and just HAD to post it on a public server.
people, its so easy to destroy someone's hard work. think about it everytime you copy music that doesn't belong to you. |

As long as the mp'3 and audio piracy thing damages the scene and the music it should b ALWAYS on the top never mind how chewed is it. So at least some ppl get the general idea. |
