Well... It worked for several of them
Cosmo Chaos for exemple had a few tracks there..
Leviathan Records picked up some artists there (like Cujorious One, and so on..)
They can introduce themselves, put comments about their tracks, links to personal websites, E-mail contacts and so on...
I also discovered really nice stuff in Drum'n'Bass there, ElektroDub, Hip Hop and so on..

It's a damn good idea for newcommers or bands/artists that like to stay independant and a good window for promoting their music. The only problem is mp3.com's way of dealing with sampling. They have many times denied artists to upload tracks because they thought the samples were too familiar eventhough those samples were truely original made by the artists and there have also been some major problems with mp3.com will to pay the artists the money they owe to them when the artists become "too"popular and generate too much downloading.... But overall a good ide! |

Go with eyes open.. MP3.com is owned by Vivendi Universal. A major label offering a free service - is there such a thing as a free lunch?
There is always 3 sides to a story - one side, the other side and the truth..
Here is one side ..

like i said in my last post: the future of online music is Dangerisland.com but you people were too clueless to figure it out. someone said it was the same as mp3.com which is ridiculous. you can sit around all day and wonder what the future for music will be online and still come up with your lame ideas. one day someone will wake up and realize what im sayin but until that day lets all just play dumb! |

Kristian,
i would expect more sense from you. but like i said: clueless. go ahead and knock it all you want. you will realize the significance eventually, i have no fear of this. |
