Hey folks,
I just got a motu midi timepiece off ebay for a whopping ten dollars! woohoo well Im just now concerned if this is really the equipment I need.
so what is this practically capable of doing what is its main purpose?
one of the main things I want to be able to do is send and recieve midi to multiple hardware synths and fx units through cubase sx3 It connects via serial port and I know I dont have one on my powerbook but I can get an adapter
so any other experiences or helpful info please post

I am using it for syncing between Sony Beta Tape and Pro Tools. The Beta sends the Time Code from the casette to the Pro Tools and enables full synchronization and also Machine Control from Beta Remote Controller to the Pro Tools Software. I don't see much use of it on a Midi based studio or anything that doesn't involves old analog MTR's or Beta Video Tape. Everyone in the world is doing something without me |
