Motu Microlite syncin time as good as midi express?

i need some time of midi clock syncing but i dont need the 8 i 8 out from midi express... so i m wonderin if the microlite which is 5in and 5out work as good as a midi express for the time syncing ?

i also have the option to get the midi express realy cheap second hand but the serial port one.... is it still usable in modern os? i mean for serial one i d have to buy a serial pci right ? and any os would be able to read that card? like windows 7 or mountain lion in hackintosh.
geeaaaaaaaaarsluts ( POM, zoon, woodsteir etc ) need ur help in here lol.... all this s for a simple task but sensitive one...to put in perfect sync a nord lead, a blofeld and 3 virtual drum machines 606, 808 and 909 . the sync must be for recording and monitoring with minimum jittering. And in the near futuer i plan to add external step sequencing.

so after long researches i end up gettin one midi interface from ESI the m4u xt
it ll arrive in 15 days , it was 40 cheaper than the micro lite and people talked very well of the midi timin of it. lets hope for the best
