Ive been offered a true bargain on a motu 828mk2, the firnd who is seling it told me it worked on a couple of pc's and another 2 ones never worked, all with smilar specs.
Id like to know any motu owner with pc and if any issue has happened. Currently i own an asus mobo with integrated TI chipset. |

if the chipset is TI i think it should work for you. I'm using a motu traveler, on a tinyXP windows, and never experienced a single problem.
Try before buy maybe?

Thanks..i wil try it actually, just wanted to know if there was any other known issues besides the non TI chipset. By the way wich version of tinyXp are u using?? |

i think its a rev2 or the beast version but im not 100% certain.
btw, i use the traveler both in studio and live with my laptop also, and its different chipsets (different intel versions that is, but with TI you should be ready for using motu).

i had an asus mobo hanging on a mkII FW (or the other way around) and never problems. and TIchips are also ok with FW. i like it very much this motu. |

Thanks for ur replies..being testing it for a couple of hours and works like a charm, smooth installation just need to find a manual (pdf) |

Finally had some issues, its suddenly restarts, the owner told me it happened on some pc's, on mac worked great...i worked for an hour on cubase and no probat all sound amazing, as soon as i opened media player (cubase already closed) 5 min later and it happened again, so i dont know if i should buy it or why this happens. Any idea? |

for your info: i just read a topic on a dutch musicprod forum where someone with a 828FW described a problem. the guy did all you could do (including changing computer hardware) and nothing worked. it looks like sometimes with pc and this card you can be unlucky. on mac its considered flawless. but what about just using it for cubase if thats working.

the thing with the mediaplayer happens also on my system with the traveler, but only if i open mediplayer while cubase is running. I can live with this since i use a dedicated studio pc.
