Hi guys,i have a doubt about AMD motherboards.

I'm really anxious to install my new soundcard (Audiophile 2496 PCI) but i've a problem called advanced MB,i own an Asus A7N8X-Deluxe with an integrated A.P.U. (audio processing unit).

A few days ago some audio experienced users told me (in a past topic) this MB wasn't the best choice for music production due to it's chipset, irq and all audio/video codecs onboard.

My question is:
Am i going to have problems making music (after installing my new soundcard)?
Should i buy a new one?

Thanks for your help!

If it's a perfectly normal working motherboard - then you won't have any problems. relax and go make music instead of worrying for nothing.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

You must at least try! if you get problems then you know, i go with Trip-´s suggestion =)

instead of worrying about problems, go on and stumble up on them;) hehe

is there something more amusing than solving problems? i do it every day! im a problem child..

I bought this mb some weeks ago. I had it a few days then the trouble began.

First there was 'only' an audio booting POST message:

'MEMORY TEST FAILED'

I checked everything bios, new memory, all. Nothing helped. After some booting the message was gone (i didn't changed anything).

I made some music and shut down my pc for relaxing some hours. When i started it again, zang boom, there where nothing: no picture, no error message just the ventilators run and hard disc run.

???

I bought then new board, the
gigabyte GA-7VT600-l, thats fine, no probs with that one until now. Hope it stays running.

I had the Asus board 5 or 6 days, i got really mad about that ,and it was much more expensive.

I never go for Asus again!

But that are only my experience, try it, i heard also much good of this Asus board.

Good Luck! (maybe you will need )
