I have an Asus motherboard, with a Via chipset & AMD cpu. The current version is 1003. Will upgrading it to 1004 boost my performance with music? Because upgrading the BIOS isn't an easy thing to do..
I want to do if it's worth the risk of ruining my comp

Formatting the HD ain't hard also but as programming BIOS it can cause some severe damage to your PC.

ok.. I upgraded it. Except a few beeps and bizzare messages, it seems to be working just fine!
