Hi guys, i am building a quad core Q9550,and i am looking for a rock solid motherboard to go with, my choices are:
-Asus P5Q DELUXE
-Asus P5QC
-Asus P5Q pro turbo
-Gigabyte EP43-UD3L
Obviously is for audio production
Another question is that i want to install windows 7 for total capabilities of memory ram, and the thing is: is it stable for audio windows 7? If the operating system is 64bit and logic studio is 32bit does that means that i will only get part of memory ram and not totaly?Do the plugins work alright with windows7?
I hope someone could help, thanks!!

I am in uk, and can get the processor for £170 and the Amd is around 150...I think there is more memory cache in Q9550...But thanks for your input!

I thought the memory was linked to the motherboard as long the processor socket is the same...Thank you for this

Good to know that Deranger, i am thinking in EP45-UD3LR, is your gigabyte reliable? No hardware issues? Cheers.

it kinda is but amd decided to make the AM3 socket compatible with both ddr3 and ddr2 memory.

There is an asus mobo - Asus P5QC has both types of slots, so you are saying that a Q9550 wouldn't work with DDR3 with this mobo?
Cheers

i had trouble with corsair's memory sticks lots of blue screen, since i replaced them to "mushkin" it works awsome i guess there was a compatibility issue between the motherboard and the corsairs cuz the sticks were fine when i checked them with memtest, but what's important is that now it works great and i recommend it or the EP43-UD3L my friend has this motherboard also with q9550 and the corsairs and it's fine at his place..good luck with this
