Reefer Decree - Very Boring
1200 Mics - Too many cheesy drug-related samples
Space Tribe are very hit and miss, some of their tunes do it, some don't. I don't think they'd be as popular if they just did music, if you know what I mean...           "One nation under a groove".

to not offend others i would say i do not connect to their sounds at all.
i dont see it as music cause it doesnt sound like they are musicians at all. not a hint of knowledge of what harmony is, notes, arrangement and intelligence. to me it sounds like constant noise that i can make myself, and if i can make - its not that good...

the means of producing music are so huge that possibly anyone in the planet could do it....so why don´t u all try 2 reach where most of the artists u mentioned, have reached?do different of what they have done and see the results...most of the blame the traks are thix way is cause most of "trance addicts" have chosen 2 forget those earlier tunes...the sound nowadays is only 4 body (well most of all), and not 4 body and mind...           ...

GMS

THere are so many in my eyes... but it all boils down to personal taste at the end of the day.

Overrated? Does that mean a lot of people like an artist, hence he is popular, and if I don't like him I have the right to label him "overrated"? Isn't that all about personal taste in the end?

There are some artists which people can't stop talking about... how amazing they are... these are people who's oppinion I respect... but these artists just don't do it for me... some I can name from the top of my head are Wizzy Noise and Sub 6.           How am I supposed to hallucinate with all these swirling colors distracting me!

i really like the random aspects (if indeed they are random) of the way these artists put their music together . im not a big fan of melody, otherwise id be listening to rank 1 etc . I think the artists you mentioned above give anew freshness to psytrance music . i say dont put boundaries on what is established therefore good..keep pushing those boundaries and come up with some more twisted shit...

electric universe, space tribe, 1200mics, but to name a few are overrated , but yeah, its all personal so dont take any offense because none intended ,

the album is not bad, it's a good album......but the reaction of the people was overrated IMO
let's be honest... it's good....but it's not so good that it can be rated best album of 2003.
it is rated that way on the isratrance forum

offcourse it's just a matter of taste....and i only express my point of view...

thank god for diversity

I don't like Reefer Decree, I find it boring. Sorry.

It comes down to taste, I guess.           "One nation under a groove".

Totally agree

But there is one artist I don't understand...Simon Postford....I know he is good and all, but i've never been an halucinogen fan, i like shpongle a lot, and ott, and other things from him, but ppl almost talk about him like he was their god or something....lol, specially in uk...i don't get it...I think hes really good, but for sure not the master of psy in my opinion but again, as Alek said, in the end its up to your taste

ok, i wont say anything to the topic because i think it's not a nice one.
but what the hell is wrong with the word SONG ?? its music isnt it ? track sounds more like a product...
"we need more songs, not tracks" subconsciousmind

cheers R.

Anakoluth - My thoughts exactly........

And to add....GMS can't be considered overrated. There is no way. Sorry. They've done too much for the scene and for young record labels that needed their name to get them off the ground. GMS is amazing live. Bansi is probably the best trance Dj I've ever heard. It's unfortunate their music is considered "typical" because so many artist have immitated their sound. They are pioneers and people should appreciate them for that.
IM is great and always puts on a good show. Their creativity is endless. Only gripe is that in LA, they chose to go with a "Sasha and Digweed" type promoter instead of sticking with their soul, but I'm not sure if you could actually blame them for that.
Spacetribe is an entity in himself. His music is from the soul and if you hear him when he is feeling the vibe, you may never be the same again.
