For me it has got to be the Waldorf Stromberg:

Virus TI Polar, Andromeda, and Korg Radias.

Nothing obscure, but they look amazing..           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

Stromberg looks really great indeed. I've been waiting for that for a long time now. I also think the V-synth GT has nice looks with it's futuristic style.

But in general i would say that most vintage synths looks tasty. I dream of having a prophet 5, Pro One, Polivoks, Arp Odyssey, Arp 2600.....and 100 others           myspace.com/auralinvasion

Haha, I wasn't complaining. I'd certainly submit to letting that beast do its worst to me.

MY fav is is dx7 vid....he makes really cool music aswell...

And yggster...you have a model d mini?? That thing is such a beast...I just got a minimoog old school as my first synth and the thing is pure beauty...looks and soundwise hehe...also the fact that i will never have to update any "software" or "operating system" ever makes me realy happy

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/closeup/VoyagerOS--Main

LAter on id love to invest in a vintage though... an ARP 2600 or EMS synthi
then maybe a nice polysynth...a jupiter 8 or Oberheim 4 voice.....

man so much good shit out there!! Gotta make some pop hits...quick...hehe

Jexus is da shit! He made me buy a oddysey after seeing that vid! Has tons of other good vids too.

Good choise for a first synth mate! My first was a poly-800 25 years ago hihi. A lot happened since then and now among others the model D is in my setup. It's a -74 without the stabilising oscillator boards so it has full sonic power and if not taken on the road it's very stable

Nice thinking for the future (2600, jp8 and so on). Doesn't matter what vst's they'll make the real thing will never be replaced and also it's a great investment. When your grandchildren take out that 1960s vcs3 out of the closet it will be worth a whole county!

VCS3 is the best looker if only to choose one. Such class all over it.

Cheers!

yggster - ok, thought you only ment modular synths. Them i cant stand the looks of. Lots of the old analog synths i like, like moog prodigy, very nice. And remember i ment wich was the most beautiful or nicest. If you could choose only one. Sound is not of any matter and there i think the LP wins imo.
And age, i dont think it matters, im 30, i wouldnt consider myself young, well not that young.hehe

I would sell my old modular if it paid of, yes i would. More money for more gear analog or digital whatever sounded good to me.

oh yeah......i like the looks of the xt, hehe

BOOM

Sorry bout the age link, prolly not true at all that. Peeps are just different, specially since spread out on this globe.

Check these out though as good looking modulars.

Best looking machine ever! Ever (imo ofc ! And as a bonus you get the best sound too, Win win situation

The XT actually looks better in reality then on pics. Was afraid how it would look against the others but it's actually a quiet pleasing orange.

Boom!
