Does anyone know what causes this "Cubase has encountered a serious problem" error. I've been trying to fix it for ages now by deleting and reinstalling plugs, moving vsts and the works and nothing seems to fix it. I've also tried reinstalling cubase and that didn't work either. Anyone got a fix? |

It's a standard error message whenever it crashes... check the error log.

When there is a bug there is somebody saying "Maybe you have the bug because you use a cracked version".
Applications have bugs even if they aren't cracked, usually cracks don't introduce bugs.

i know that, i was trolling... cubase is very crasheable... i constantly save cause it can occur at any time, i have always feel this cubase fragility since i started... (sx3) |

i can confirm this, i almost always get a crash upon exit getting the message "a serious problem has occured" bullshit - i have tried emailing support etc but i found that no specific vst crashes it it's mainly when i use my virus ti and then quit cubase sometimes it behaves and mostly not - heck i even get stuck notes and gotta change the midi port of the virus all the time.

Yeah it mostly happens when I use the waves plugins, which are the only plugins (disregarding a few other distortion plugins and filters) I use. It's only on the laptop I'm currently using in holiday, so I guess I'll just have to wait till I return home  Might move to Presonus Studio One soon anyway. |
