I recently discovered Lish - Freefall and absolutely loved it. I know I'm a bit behind. I went back then and checked out their first album and did not like it at all. Not being very familiar with this type of sound I read the CD review here for Lish - Freefall. So after reading the review here and seeing people classified it as progressive morning style full on or something of that sort, I'm hoping you all could suggest to me some artists and albums that have this same Lish - Freefall sound. Thanks for any suggestions. |

It's good music, but he asked for progressive and not full on.

Lish is a crossover between progressive and fullon so some of intelligent fullon can fit as well.
Try Israeli psygressive, all sound the same imho!
My 2 cents!

Thanks for all the replys! What a nice board this is!
And Pax thanks for those suggestions but I already know those tracks very well. Protoculture is one of my favs.
What I'm looking for is that mix of progressive with full on elements that I've discovered with Lish - Freefall. Its a nice combination that I've never really experienced before and I really like it.
Thanks again! |

Hi Magnus,
You could also try Phony Orphants "It' Cetra (Etc)" Cd, also Metronome & Vibrasphere are two to check out.
There's so many great Prog Artists out there... You can always use the search engine here and just type in the word "Progressive" in either (Dj's & Artists) or (Cd Reviews) forums.

SUN CONTROL SPECIES... his album on Iboga is still almost a year away, but he has plenty of compilation releases. This guy is the definition of full on meets prog, an absolute genius.
And ditto with the Ytopia, although they are nowhere near Lish standard IMO.
Unfortunately there doesnt seem to be a lot in this cross over style, it is a shame, also agree BLT is definetly one of the pioneers of this style.
Hopefully after the succcess of Lish and the upcoming SCS album there will be more releases like this, and we can forget about 'full on' and 'progressive' and just go back to TRANCE... this is what I call this style of music. |
