Hello people of Earth, im looking to improve my production, I'm trying to make the typical full-on plastic leads, the typical VIrusTI sound,,,, but here's the catch, I'm from Mexico city, so to own a virus is impossible, at least for 90% of the people living in Mexico, and unfortunately I'm stuck with that 90%. So I need to get as close as I can to that fat sound, without the beautifull, delicious, master of the universe Virus. I'm using vsts mostly, so are there any tips or magic tricks on how to give more body to sounds?, or maybe make my vst leads a lot more fatter,? I use quadrafuzz and compression but sometimes I feel my leads really thin. Any ways thanks in advance!

listen in my opinion Virus is not the master of the universe. i own a few synths which i feel are better that the Virus like nord lead 2x and roland sh101
but the point is that vsts can get u a long way and
probably get filtery sound which is virus typical.
to fatten ur leads use multi oscillators (may change octaves between them and mix them good for basses as well.) another good fx u can always trust to fatten the sound if tuned properlly is a Chorus.
smart use of lfo cutoff modulations on multiple channels together make beautiful morning stuff hh.good luck m8

Yeah, try using detune, unison, chorus, freq shifter, etc. to fatten up the sounds. That'll leave you with a wider and fatter signal to start with.
I say master what you have and forget about what you would like to have.. because you have a really nice production there. Just believe you already have everything you need to make killer tunes!
But I believe the track has less impact due to the notes you use, it's too bright and cheerful: I tend to like some dissonance. Just my 0.02€

Thanks guys for the tips, I guess I was stuck with the idea that I needed a Virus to make good psytrance, I guess I have to master the tools I got first!! But thanks alot for listening and for your time!! Have a great day!
