Hello people of earth, I was wondering if you guys could help me, I need to know if Im overusing the singing girl, or the keys, And if you guys have any tip or advice on how to improve the style. When I listen to the pros, I see that Im lacking trance in my fullon composition, I dont know if the problem is that im not using enough stabs or psy noises, I have no idea but the end is near, and I really want to learn this shit before we are gone hehe, so any advice will be very usefull. Thanks in advance!!!

i think your production level is already quite good so when "we are gone" u will have figured it out ! hehe

i like the kick and bass - but snare and hats seem to be verry quiet - when you mix your track try to listen to it at least once in very very low volume.... if your mix is good you still should hear all the elements !

the voice is nice every once in a while - but maybe a litte less could be more
especialy at 121 i find it a bit confusing together with the lead thingy in the background

the question of how to improve the style is quite difficult to answer without any examples of the sound you want to achieve - so who are the pros you compare your music to ?

sorry for the long wait but here u got the long reply

so basicly i would say what you need is more present elements ! your track has all the time some pads or arps or voices that make this kind of dreamy floating feeling ... which is great - but not during all the track as you need always contrast ... you need rocking parts and dreamy parts and the bigger the contrast is the bigger the boom will be ...

most of the tracks in this style start with some kind of basic rythm made out of differnt synth - like the track you posted.. listen to 1:17
later more elements adding up to the rythm without any "dreamy" parts yet ... at 2:45 is the first time some pads and arps come in to play ....
then all the melodies come in and power is rising and rising untill at 4:0 it all goes down to the ... hm.. dont know if this is called drop - but it sounds what i would call drop hehe

here again in the beginning just verry present and kind of dry rythmic elements so they sound most fat - then when coming to the break the dreamy part starts again .. ..

the nice thing when having this rythmic part in the beginning is that after having your "main part" you can simply come back to it and it will always rock !!! - like he does at 6:40

thats just what i have figoured out about this style and try to apply it in my arrangement

I think the bassline and the lead in the middle part are somewhat incoherent. I would "connect" them more to make it more alive if you catch my drift.

Thanks alot man, thanks for your time, and reply, and I been thinking alot about what you said, and it totaly make sense, what you said about the need of having some contrast in the song, like it cant be all dreamy feeling, and I have been working in a new song, applying that rule, and I can totally feel the change in the sound, is more powerfull and more fullon style, so thanks!! I really appreciate your relply! the best vibes!! peace!!!

Thanks for listening, and you are totally right, I did my bass before the leads or anything else, so I probably need to make my leads first, and then the bass, so I can conect better every sound, I would definitely work on that, so thanks alot for the reply!! have a great day!!

Like the sounds and the overall atmosphere of the track, agree with MuckyPuh of creating contrast with sounds, and only thing that I can say is to work little bit more on brakes and urge after them, nothing wrong with what you have now, only I can sense they need a little more life and story, so after the brake everything flows magically and expectation is somehow released....

Usual suspects like risers and rolls not always deliver the story and build up everything to fit, most of the times everything falls in patterns, but you can now really dig into your track and connect everything to flow just perfect....automate the synth and try to build up the sound that explode after the brake, or you have one really dreamy part that starts @4:30, but for my ears that build up just don't fit the vibe, more energy is raised in brake than the lead is giving after, but if you try to slow down the brake and work everything in distance (some reverb automations) and parts that is slowly coming from bottom, you can deliver more power to lead and feeling that everything is moving again, or you are just been falling down in dream and suddenly you are living your dream kind of thing

Visualize your track, try to make a story, to make a journey of sounds, introduce every state of the track with some kind of expectations and urge, take parts of the leads and experiment with them, make them evolving from brake to break, through track, to have the life of their own, so when you close your eyes you can really go deep with your imagination because you try to follow all of them in the journey they make

I still feel I didn't share any knowledge, just some motivational crap that my fucked up brain produce these days, but one people madness is other people inspiration sometimes

I always admire opinions of my non producing friends, full of just wacky fresh ideas and they are in the same time really honest and really don't have a clue how hard it is, but ideas they have, priceless
