nice one man never though about doing it like this but it s not as flexible as using a sampler or doing in on the synths cause you can t hear what you re doing with the other side ,detuned chanels have some sweet spots where it sound better in stereo and in mono (i just noticed he use time correction when detuning so maybe it won t make much problems in mono, dunno..)

dunno if it s good but check this plug http://www.stillwellaudio.com/?page_id=267

If you're using Ableton (or have a filter delay vst), duplicate a channel, put a filter delay on the duped channel and set the delay to -1ms. Only use the L and R channels of the filter delay and adjust the parameters to fit your needs.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

A percific order in the fx chain from top to bottom?
Panning left or right is boring on cubase's channel.
Try fun shit, like ubik tremalo panner then fed into say a freqency shifter fed into psp or bionic then fed into eq and comp fed into destortion then widerboy etc etc.
L and R manual pannin on the strip is boring, try the unuasual!
Yeh pom plugins like that that give u haas effect so much simpilar then duplaicatin channels.last thing u want is shit loads of duplicated tracks all over the place

any delay shorter than 25 milliseconds could do the job, shorten as needed....

its some kind of psychoacoustic trick, brain cant recognize both sounds with so little difference in time, so we perceive them as a single one

i wouldnt say so, you can hear the difference... it gives a metallic effect to it, not like here:

sure you can recognize the difference in sound between a single and a doubled sound. But you don't hear the two tracks as separate tracks. Thats what he means I think.
