You are right.
You can also connect your TV audio out (or DVD player) to PC audio in.
Or you have a dvd drive in pc, then you can record the audio tracks without any lose of quality.

yeah, I got my TV sound going to sound card, you can get a nice cable to get audio out from the SCART (not sure if its right, the plug on back of TV) very cheap, its really worth it
and samples from TV aren't overused |

I use a program called WIRETAP for OSX. It records any audio the computer is doing as a wave file, directly! No sampling issues.

for PC, recording from dvd´s and other stuff.... anything thats of interest!
Though im gonna hook it up to the tv soon... |
