whats the diffrence between a halion file and a regular wav for example?
why convert a wav into a halion file (assuming youre using halion of course)
doesnt it read wavs the same way anyway?

never used halion before, but with other samplers like kontakt/battery - you have extra envelopes, volume settings, key mappings etc.. all added information that gets saved to the sampler specific format.

well yeah - depending on the sampler.
battery 2 even allows you to put individual compressors/envelopes on your "cells". |
