whats the diffrence between a halion file and a regular wav for example?
why convert a wav into a halion file (assuming youre using halion of course)
doesnt it read wavs the same way anyway?           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

never used halion before, but with other samplers like kontakt/battery - you have extra envelopes, volume settings, key mappings etc.. all added information that gets saved to the sampler specific format.

well yeah - depending on the sampler.
battery 2 even allows you to put individual compressors/envelopes on your "cells".
