so as we talk yesterday mike u explain doing 10 -15 big parties a year, ok yes but in this parties u know that the artists will be most in general the most known 1s,
i told u the sceene in athens has to be of all small names bigger names and the cream as u call it of trance,
a place like athens has to have like every were resident parties with locals..all this is the plan o trance.
if u do 15 big 1s of corse authorities dont like, in the 3 years i do parties i bring lots of artists 1st time in athens small and known 1s,
who said u wont do big 1s u will and i know nad respect that cose i love the music and i want trance parties to happen,people that dont are crazy and have nothing to do with the trance sceene,they just want to show off and every 1 know when u see some 1 like that, and will always be bad for the sceene,
15 parties a year will not hold the sceene mike
alsos did every friday and saturday and was little,people wanted more,
small holds big i told u that yesterday, all people in trance hold something,
any way i know every time i do something im not welcome from lots of people,but the people at least who understand what i done 3 years i know resspect it,
sorry u feel like this and want to be in this trip of the party movement, so good luck on the future big events.. |

Same blah-blah again...Ok, the sound wasn't good, I know, I told moonsun as well. Otherwise, it was OK. Tegma played his thing, Ticon played theirs. They were there, and they played the music most people expected to listen to. Myself included. I enjoyed the music, and nothing was really wrong. A wrong move to bring Ticon and Jason ? I don't think so...Well, sure if they were somewhere open-air for example, now everyone would say "It was a killer party". But , as we all know, these days its tough to get a place that draws too much attention. In the end, this was a good effort. Moonsun atleast tried to bring some quality names, and he did it. Keep it up, and I'm sure that in time, better parties will come.

Nick i believe that its the big parties that support the small ones and not the opposite like you claim.
And by the way we live in 2006 and the days of Alsos that you refer are long long gone unfortunately.Since then the people changed,the music changed,the parties changed,everything changed.
In my humble opinion one big event every 2-3 weeks can hold the trance scene in Athens and around this big event couple of smaller parties can take place with either local artists and djs or some new foreign names.
The situation now is two not small but very small parties taking place every weekend in really small clubs with the same people playing music all the time.This has a bad effect on our small scene and especially to the people who are fed up of this situation and thats why when a big party takes place everyone wants to go there while the same 100-150 people go to the small ones.
People want a good club,a good sound system,a good line up,some decent decoration and lights and whatever extra you can offer them.Thats why people support big parties when they take place and they just ignore the very small local parties that take place in Athens for the last year.
Yes prive parties can be fun for 50 people or a trance night in a small place can be nice to dance and have a drink for 150 people but its the big parties that are the main attraction of trance in our days and the events that can attract new people in this kind of music.In our days all these small parties taking place every weekend mostly prevent people from listening to this kind of music or going to parties rather bring them closer to trance.
So to whoever wants to organise whatever out there,either you do it right or dont do it at all guys.Like i said before organising a proper party is not easy since it demands a lot of knowledge,skills,efforts,connections,money and other things that not many people possess or can combine.Good faith only is not enough unfortunately in our days or being rich only (like one member of this forum recently said in public) does not guarantee you the proper organisation of a good party.
Anyway thats just my opinion and many people will disaggree with me but thats whats in my mind and this is the conclusion i have reached after my involvement in this community for some time now.

I ve been reading all these posts now and i got to say that most of the ppl here dont repspect the effort someone did to create a nice evening with good music. Personally i like Ticon a lot. Same goes for Digital Structures !! I didnt come to this gig cause my friends prefered to go somewhere else. I m sure that music was great and that Ticon performed great + Jason must was really good cause his last album is brilliant. Some ppl got to understand that this music is not Astrix or Goa Gill and if they expected to listen to full on psy then they were wrong. Sorry to hear that 2 speakers got burned. Bad luck i quess. Shit happens.
If I was there I would have really great time for sure cause I like a lot this kind of music. I ve been to progressive parties such as Ticon, Yotopia, Vibrasphere, Son Kite, Peter Didgital, Jaia, Antix etc etc and i got to admit that most of them was in London and not in Greece. Ppl here dont apreciate this music + they dont know how to enjoy it. I ve been to parties this last year such as Sven Vath, Seb Fontaine, Nick Warren, Black Strobe (which was great btw) etc etc where the crowd was enthousiastic full of energy and positive faces. I know music is different and I dont want to compare but trance got no funs any more. Sorry to mention it but most of you moan with no reason. If you think that you can manage to organize a boom night then do it but first learn to enjoy yourselfs, to have fun and most importantly to repspect the ppl around you.

coz i want to make it clear,at my first post i said "parties like that destroy the scene" not moonsun and i still believe that..also said that i got the feeling that "somebody tried to make an arpaxti" and i still believe that too...moonsun your expectations for the party should be like that really happened,thatswhy the 25euros ticket..i don't know if moonsun loves trance music or trying to make money out of it, for sure though,parties like the one happened doesn't help his reputation or the scene....don't take it personally man..there is good and bad critisism and both have a cause............
and i was to ask everybody here..........we all remember the parties at varubobi,kalamo,alsos,battery,alimos but that seems like ages ago....after that what?chaos?cyberfunk and NR6 was really good tries but was't the same feeling......is psytrance over in greece...it was a fashion thing....or we all are so music wise and we judge everyone and everything so seriously.....or we forgot how to have fun.....or mostly bad parties happen.....and whose fault is that......???.....unsolved mysteries that have taken me over!!!!!
i have to think really carefully and do some self-critisism first.......u maybe??

Never thought of it that way.. I have to admit that there is a good point here. Maybe it is just a utopic thought but a good one. I don't believe that if we let the scene die it will manage to ressurect somehow. It's been more than a decade that this scene is spoiled by many means. Police, media etc etc.
But, at the end of all, are we arguing over a dead scene? Cause, maybe even I don't want to admit it, but is the trance scene dead after-all?
I agree with the point that the big events should hold the small ones but the last big event I remember was the 1100ppl at Luv and.. we all seen what came up..

1.people every year change some come some never come to parties again,we ge t good parties like Astix 1 with 1200 people,this means that big is good but u see then we have promblems with authorities, since though u have only this 1s the bad thing is that if something ever happens bad all will stop,when though lots of parties happen in athens the advantege is less for soomething bad to happen,i belive when there is more fuss between promoters like what i saw from 1999 2003 and all the sceene was ready to close from the wars beetween the parties,i think know this years we do smaller 1s yes we dont have many facy club to do,but we do them and people enjoy, know prices when are 25 or 30 is common when u pay some artits up to 6000 to come here to play, all the party promoters in athens are tring some do beeter some do worst,i dont care if i rated low or medium,cose i dont get so many people,but in most iv done i knoe poeple have had fun and that is the point to have fun and listen to ure musik..sceene will never be 2000 cose old people will never come again the get older and change ,dont we all.but the young people is the future,for me all should work together united is power,beetween each other theere are holes that worms can get trough and destroy all,if u get my point,we alll listen to the same musik ,and we all are against each other,i hope in the future that bigs will happen with not 1200 even if they can with 2000 or 3000 so i can go and listen and see people to have fun,hope all will be 1 i day and all can be united and harmonic between all, |

hello guys,
i passed by the internet cafe and saw this big review about the party in BG club, i dont really understand whats the main problem? The only thing that went wrong on this party was the two speakers in the front, they stoped working when i played but after two tracks they started again. The people were happy and danced all the time. For me it was a nice party with nice poeple and good music. The organizer was verry proffesional in my opinion and i would be glad to work with him again in the future.
And finaly i would like to say>> Imaste elines, enomeni boroume na ta g****me ola...<<
