@d.j k-pax
i would just say please dont disrespect india
everyone took their own experiences from the party.........please don't genralize
noone invited anyone to moondust, you came of your own accord and you were completely aware of the risks involved, please dont blame the indian psytribe.
also, the 1500 horny indians as you decribe them paid the same amount of entry as you and have the right to party as much as you do. if you hate them so much then i guess the best thing for you is to not come back to india again.
about food/loos/amenities, i'm as disappointed as you are but please dont say things like these......
i'd also like to clear one thing out for everyone who is not familiar with india.......india is NOT a drug haven. if u planned to trip for five days in moondust and only managed to trip for three then its your fuckup not the orgs. the drugs killed the scene there. its simple.
the reason D's are available in india and usually not a problem is because we dont have all the necessary surveylance/detection systems in place yet. the police are also short-staffed and over-burdened. indians by culture are not drug oriented. but also they are OK with soft drugs sometimes, eg holi time when ppl drink bhang. its a time for festivities and everyone indulges a lil, but ppl doing D's 24/7 till they are fried are really not appreciated.
there were a lot of girls in the festival and a lot of foreigners too......and they seemed quite happy to me
the festival was far from perfect, and i am disappointed in some ways, but it was an effort that did work out in many ways, what disappoints me the most is the attitude of people like you who come to india and then disrespect india. remember you are a tourist, and we consider you as a guest, and for us a guest is god. but a guest shouldn't misbehave and abuse, it won't be tolerated, believe me. i'm happy you got out of there in one piece with that attitude of yours. next time you visit someone's house, learn something about the owner first.....dont just show up, go against all the rules of the house and call the owner names......what a loser
people discriminate against us in other countries, now you wanna discriminate against me in my OWN country????
i hate bitching, but this is too much, and i'm sure the moderators who have blocked the india section would do nothing against this guy, cuz he's israeli???
how would you like it if i talked shit about israeli ppl on isratrance??
please respect.........

hey hello..well well well...where is this thread going..i would like to remind that this section is for posting ur REVIEWS of the party..we were thrown out from one thread just because of so much bitching and deviated posts..now what is going on here..
what is wrong with people that everyone is making a single person scapegoat for all the things..
its forum, everyone has their right to write their reviews,if ur not convinced that not his problem..it was his way of percieving things..
and yes,i am not taking anyone's sides..a little education is enough, people come back to place for what this is all about..
PEACE ,LOVE,UNITY & RESPECT.

@ fullonbaba: hear hear bro... India is a spiritual country. We look kindly upon Hemp, but not any kinda chemicals. Respect ur host or dont bother him with ur presense..
Im sure Moondust was an amazing experience for all the psy freaks who are truly into the music for the music itself and not for the drugs.

now c'mon all of you defending that joke of a festival! I came all the way from dubai to be in moondust, i had really high hopes. was pumped with energy and support for the organizers, but quiet frankly, got really disappointed! nothing was in place, nothing was ready, all the stalls were empty, didn't see anything of what the website promised, first night, sound quality really sucked! i don't know if the dj's were playing mp3's, or was it that the sound setup? all i know is, the quality was bad! very bad! and c'mon, 2 toilets for 2000 people! i wanted to respect nature, but u left me no choice! i had to go, and ur so called bathrooms were not a valid option! what happened to all the dancers u promised us? the fire performers? all the mexican, italian, israeli and other corners of the world food, the kids section, the art section, well, maybe it's just me, but couldn't find them! i've been around festivals, my latest was soulclipse turkey, and i am not bitching just for the sake of bitching, i went there to show support to mother land, to shiva land, but u guys made it really hard to do so! from the moment i stepped in, i could tell the lack of professionalism in the organization! i got stamped like a cow on the entrance, with this yellow band which turned out really helpful as a cutting tool! i couldn't even hold my gf's hand as my band was scratching her all the time! nothing was ready, the sound system reached the site at the same time we did, not to mention the sudden increase in the entrance fee. Reason behind it, and i quote: "We are sorry about that! " And i am sorry about that festival, if i can call it so, as it looked more like a small get together for some friends with a lot of free time on their hands! free time they didn't even use to prepare beforehand, and deliver what they promised! Call it a party, would've been a kick ass one, call it a festival, u just ruined it for us all! and c'mon, what's up with all these locals showing up, trying to score girls, dancing like f*cking monkeys, not knowking what they're doing, or what the hell they're listening to, that pretty messed up the vibes for me! listening to music i consider as precious as my life, with some idiots, goofing around, grabbing the chance to do drugs openly, because they heard on f*cking MTV india that there's gonna be a big party soon! who the hell advertises a psy festival, the most purest concepts of all, on MTV india! i mean what kind of crowd are you exactly trying to attract! well, i guess we all saw what kind, and the effect they had on the rest of us, genuine psyheads, coming for the music, not for the girls or the drugs! An indiot came up to my gf asking her for company as he was feeling lonely, he had no girl to dance with! Were u guys playing hip hop and RnB, cause I missed that! My friend overheard another idiot on the phone, telling his friend about this really cool disco he’s in right now, a very nice night club, asking him to get more friends and join him! How the hell did that guy end up at moon dust! I guess u guys spent more time promoting and advertising, that u actually forgot to prepare for the festival itself! I had a hard time convincing my gf to come with me, it was her first psy festival, and i wanted her to share with me what i feel at psy festivals, and then had a hard time convincing her, that this is not what you usually expect to see!!
Well, last but not least, before some of you start defending that festival on no solid grounds, maybe because Kalari, or i don't know who is a personal friend, to top things out, here comes the narco bust! i mean u guys had it coming! Needless to say that we lost all our tents, our camping gear, our personal belongings! we left them in the tent, as instructed to do, hoping to come back in the morning, after the bust is over, to collect our stuff! Surprisingly enough, there was nothing to collect! i mean NOTHING! it was a desert again! in 5 freakin hours, they emptied the whole place! never saw indians that efficient! that's all i have to say! it's a shame, really is! but, i guess there's no harm in trying, but next time, before u try, think that u have responsibilities towards ur crowd, towards the people traveling from all over the world to show u support, ur job is not just getting them to the festival, that's the easy part, the tricky part is living up to the expectations, at which , and i'm sorry to say, u failed terribly!
But, i got to stay until the 11th in india, got to see that rich culture, and met a lot of warm beautiful people! and for that, i am thankful! And if there's any festival in india again, i will be the first one to go! We learn from the mistakes we do! Positive vibes all the way!

^^^well bro as u said, this was the first festival we have had in the motherland.
i do agree with most of what u said, but i still feel that Kalari and the other orgs did a pretty good job.. afterall, this was a first time for them as well.. screw ups happen everywhere baba, its just how well u handle them.
Im sure for the next fest the orgs will know what they did wrong and not repeat the same mistakes. in the meantime, all of us who were there and experienced some problems should give them the feedback on what we felt was wrong and can be improved on..
Looking forward to our next indian psy fest...

whats wrong with me......got time? its a looong story!
ok i know i should just ignore this thread and let u guys continue to argue about subjective matters with diffrent backgrounds.....
mmmm....maybe before i leave ill try and shed some un bias light on this issue and u guys can decide to relax or keep being insulted in the name of this or that nation....
people from Europe expect a certain standart when going to a Festi'(or doing anything). in the honorable eyes of the honoroble Mr K-pax(and some other Euro friends) that standart was not met! period. its there opinion and thats final!
one can claim that expectations should be rational, meaning,if u dont expect the airport in Delhi to be like the one in Tokyo, why expect Moondust to be like Solstice???
so basicly to sum it up.....
the Euro's that expressed there minds here were not happy with the level of production(maybe they had un rational expectations?)
some of the Indian friends here agree and some dont(again subjective) and most important no one meant to insult the others culture and nation.....
now i would think(hope) this is enough to end this Bolywood drama but since i know some people are addicted to that shit...have fun!
Cheers.
